Although this fortress was on my bucket list I didn't plan its visit in this strange time. I thought it would make no sense as museums are closed and guided tours are not possible. But while hiking around Weissenburg I was enjoying beautiful nature and nice weather so much that I didn't want to go home, kept on randomly taking trails until I reached Wulzburg. And I am happy for this. I enjoyed amazing views to the town, walking around, learning a bit about history of this place and taking a lot of pictures. I can truly recommend a visit. There is a small parking lot just in front of main gate if you don't want to climb the hill. During my visit the castle restaurant was open, offering coffee, cakes and limited choice of main dishes to go.
