Great company to deal with. Our planning and booking was with Bogdan and all replies were quick and informative. We decided on a 2 day tour. Collection from airport late then straight to hotel Bucharest, early collection the next day with our guide Nick, we had a quick tour around the city and then onto mountains and Brasov. Overnight stay in Brasov. We requested a change to the next day itinery which was met so we could say we went off the beaten toursit path. Nick was very informative and enaging and always met our needs and understood our requirements from the trip. Before Nick left us in Bucharest back at the hotel he arranged a booking for us at the Palace of the Parliament so we knew which tour we were going on. In the price of the trip we also had a early collection from the hotel back to the airport even though our tour ended 2 days before. No stress, everything organised and everthing worked our great.

This was really amazing day! Much needed escape to the nature after long time. Guides Tudor and Manu are super lovely people, who also provided us necessary hiking equipment. The main ridge of the Vlădeasa massif is about 50km long . The eastern ridge boasts the highest peak named Vf.Vlădeasa which tops out at 1836m. A big thanks to the curly team for this tour, especially for a very friendly atmosphere! It was a day full of impressions, we managed to see and to do even more than we expected. Everything was very well organized, even the rainy weather didn't disturb us, the guides had rain coats and hiking sticks with them, that was very helpful. The nature in this region is so beautiful, it's worth to see it! I hope one day we'll be back in Cluj and then we'll take another tour with the curly team for sure. Highly recommend the tour! And don't forget to bring your hiking shoes :)

Honestly the only way to really see Transylvania and the Carpathian mountains. Dan the guide is very knowledgable about the area and culture of the people. He is an excellent safe driver and you always feel safe with him driving. He knows multiple routes across the mountains depending on the weather and comfort level of his clients. If you just want to drive down dirt roads through the National Parks or do some more extreme off roand campng and fishing he can cater for your personal needs. Unlike other trips to the area Dan can customize the trip to your needs. Its definitly the only way to see the area.
6. Rhododendron watching in Ciucas Mountains
For the beginning of June, witness the wonderful landscapes of Mount Ciucas, covered in a red layer of rhododendron flowers. You will be picked up from your hotel in Brasov, driven to Muntele Rosu Chalet, where you will begin your hike. Make sure you bring your camera! The colors will be like nothing you have ever seen. After the majestic views, head back to the car* and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Brasov. *There is an optional route available, depending on weather conditions and your fitness level.

7. Rhododendron gazing in the Carpathians - day hike from Brasov
In May - June it's blooming time for the rhododendron flowers in the alpine pastures from the Carpathians. Witness the wonderful pink scenery in Leaota mountains on this day trip & hike from Brasov. You will be picked up from your location in Brasov and after a 1 hour drive you will arrive in Moieciu de Sus. You will then start your hike up to the Bucsa peak. A good fitness level is required and adequate hiking shoes and clothes. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes you will arrive at the Bucsa peak, at an altitude of 1846 meters. Here, if the weather is favorable, you will see endless slopes covered with pink rhododendrons and fantastic mountain views. Bring a camera, the scenery is just stunning. After a break, you will return to Moieciu de Sus and after another 1 hour drive you will be dropped off at your hotel in Brasov. Important note: We cannot guarantee that during your trip you will see rhododendrons. Their blooming season depends on weather conditions.
