This was a great way to see the city in air conditioned comfort. Our tour guide is a retired airline pilot with perfect English and a great deal of knowledge regarding the city. We opted for the breakfast/lunch tour. We toured spots outside of the usual “tourists traps”. Lunch was perfection! We ate local cuisine at a corner cafe and the owner explained each dish in great detail. Don’t leave Guayaquil without taking this tour.

Wake up with some of the most fabulous views, as the sun rises over the western Andean slopes. Once you get in this unique tropical Andean ecosystem, hummingbirds will take your full attention. The cloud forest concentrates the highest diversity of these winged jewels. You'll visit 3 reserves located at different altitudes. Bird feeders will bring otherwise elusive species to very close distances, allowing you to photograph them and enjoy their unmatched beauty. You'll be able to watch up to 20 different species of hummingbirds, many of them endemic to this Bio-region, such as the stunning Velvet-purple Cornet, Purple- bibbed Whitetip, Brown Inca, Empress Brillant and Gorgeted Sunangel. The cloud forest offers an amazing mixed setting from waterfalls and hikes through lush green forest that will allow you to have a day of deep connection with nature.

This was our second day of a private tour with Santiago. Again we had a great trip. Santiago is a very enthusiastic guide, and an extremely well trained birder. He told us lots of interesting things about nature and culture in Ecuador. And, again, showed us lots of nice birds. It is a bit frustrating that he sees so many birds and we have to struggle to see them as well! But Santiago is very patient and puts on his telescope wherever he can, to give us a better view. The afternoon we spend in Guanco, in a hummingbird paradise. We also had a wonderful lunch. At the end of this excellent day, Santiago dropped us at our hostel in Quito. We can recommend travelling with a private guide. It is very relaxed, we saw a lot, could stop whenever we liked, and it is so nice to hear Santiago tell about Ecuador and his love for nature.

We had a great time exploring Galapagos through Ecosportour. We visited 3 islands and saw amazing wildlife. The food and hospitality on the tour was very good. I would highly recommend booking through Ecosportour. They will make sure you have a once in a lifetime experience.

I just completed the Guayaquil City Tour with Eduardo Meneses. ‘Eddie’ is a consummate tour guide equally versed in ecology and history. He is a good listener who fine tunes the tour to your interest. After touring with Eddie I began to understand the cultural and historical significance of the things I was seeing not just passing through. The City tour which is part transportation/part walking is evenly spaced out with opportunities for breaks and coffee. Eddie goes at your pace. As this was my first time in Guayaquil I couldn’t imagine learning about this City in a better way.

Daniel was a great guide and the drive from Quito was beautiful. The thermal springs and spa itself were amazing! I did the 45 min deep body massage and I highly recommend. If you go on a weekend, I would recommend leaving early, Daniela will work with you to figure out what time you want to leave and how long you want to stay, he is very flexible. If you're interested in Spa treatments, I would schedule them in advance or as soon as you arrive so that you can get the time slot you want. I waited a few hours and it started to get a little more crowded (not full but there were others there) and I hate to wait til the afternoon for my massage. Overall, it was a very relaxing day.
