10 Photography Tours in Buenos Aires That You Shouldn't Miss

April 20, 2022 Ying Subia

The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

Not worth it, I'm afraid. Too expensive to get to see just one of the glaciers, the Spegazzini one. (The Upsala glacier can only be seen from afar, as it's deemed too risky to approach). The journey was too long and quite uncomfortable (the ferry I took was the Quo Vadis). Too many people travelling. The ferry was 80% full in Covid times, which I found unsensible and irresponsible. We could not choose where to sit or change seats afterwards. The Spegazzini refuge is partly open. You can take a (rather short) walk in the woods, but the café/restaurant/toilet area is (still) closed and looks quite derelict. I've taken other tours in the area (Perito Moreno Glacier/ Canal Beagle/Full day at Chalten) and they were less expensive, better organised and far more enjoyable than this one.

II will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation in BA and we'll start the tour from there. I have a 320CC Yamaha MT03 motorbike (the best way to tour Buenos Aires) and we'll move around the city on it. With my my SLR camera and drone, I’ll be taking great photos and videos at the best spots of BA. I know my city very well and will take you to all the main landmarks or places that you may be interested in. I’m a local that lived both in the US and Europe for over a decade. I have traveled extensively and, having been to 405 cities in 81 countries in all 7 continents, I know what to expect as a tourist when visiting a city and that's what I aim to deliver! I'm a professional working in IT, not related to the Tourism Industry, but I love touring people around my home town. I've been doing for some time now and I enjoy it a lot. The amount of places we'll visit depends on the time we spend at each destination on the guide.

Inclusions: Helmet and Reflective Vest., Transportation to the pick up point at the end of the tour is included., Photos and videos will be included in their original format without edition or selection. I will upload them to a shared folder on dropbox or the website within 48 hours after the tour has been completed. If you have your laptop with you, I might be able to just copy all the raw files immediately to your computer. I will of course be able to send you some photos / videos intermediately, should you want to use them for social media, etc, Fuel surcharge

Exclusions: The duration of the tour is up to three hours, the amount of places we can visit during that time depends entirely on how much time you want to spend at each place. I can of course extend the tour if I have availability. The cost of the extra hour is U$30., Entrance / admission fees: should you want to get into a place where an entry fee is payable, that's not included in the tour price and in such places I will wait for you outside until you're done with it., If you want to stop for coffee, light lunch / dinner we can stop at any "cafe porteño" for it. The cost of the meal is not included in the price of the tour., Edition of videos and photos is charged by the hour., Tool fees are not included, should they apply to any of the places that you want to visit. There's usually no tool feed associated, this only applies for specific places!

This was quite a different way to see this fantastic city. Juan picked me at the hotel and we proceeded to visit the highlights of Buenos Aires. The videos with the drone view make for some a fun perspective and some great memories. My highlight was the coffee at the Ateneo library -named as one of the most beautiful in the world.

For my personal branding I’m always looking for new photo sessions, to create more content for social media. In the past I have worked with lots of photographers, but the quality and service that Nicholas provided while shooting in Buenos Aires is world-class. He was very creative with the photoshoot idea, suggesting great locations and showing high level of skill with posing and lights. I opted for a tailor-made photoshoot, as I had special requirements and it worth every single cent. I definitely recommend working with him!

Contact person at airport as arranged, but there was no driver. And still no driver. We waited about an hour. Finally a driver. We paid to be picked up, not hang around the airport after a 12 hour flight. If this how they do business, find an alternative.

I highly recommend doing this tour with the e-bikes. It was a lot fun, riding them is great and since they're hybrid and pretty fast you get to cover a lot of ground. I felt very safe the whole time and they mainly use bike lanes so that was great. I also learnt a lot, the guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Don't miss out on this activity while in BA!
