Tokyo Tea Rooms, a boutique late night cocktail bar experience, is launching in Canterbury in 2018, with guest mixologists and creative performance. Formerly the venue has been primarily occupied by national chains. Now local hospitality and entertainment outfit, ‘Distinctive Bars’, have acquired the space, transforming it into a bespoke and premium addition to Canterbury’s nightlife scene. Introducing Tokyo Tea Rooms. Tokyo Tea Rooms will live and serve by the Japanese Ichi-go Ichi-e which loosely translates to One Time One Meeting – no two events or encounters will ever be exactly the same. This concept is embodied in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
