Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

Lumpini Park

This is the largest and oldest park in the city.

Reviewed By CoffeeChill - Sunshine Coast, Australia

Lumphini Park is an icon of Bangkok tourism, a green oasis in a concrete jungle. You can spend quite some circumnavigating the full circuit of the park, which runs for several kilometres. Along the way, there is an abundance of flora and fauna to observe, including the stars of the show, the water monitor lizards. These impressive reptilians sit at the top of the food chain here. They are wonderful to check out whilst on; walkabout, cycling, jogging and or working out (there is free gym equipment), in this active, urban ecosystem. Fun for all ages and a place that provides soothing water views and breezes, I will hope look forward to visiting Lumphini Park again, soon.

King Rama IX Park

Reviewed By Jeff206 - Samut Prakan, Thailand

Only by the good graces of the great and incredible cool weather we had been having in the last few weeks, did I actually and suddenly get the great idea to finally visit this park. So I went and it was really one of the most impressive and best parks I’ve probably ever visited in the region where I live! On top of that, not only an awesome park, but there’s also only a 10 Baht entry fee per person that is paid at the main gates and then you’ll get an entry ticket. I’m not 100% sure of the opening and close times of this park, but the best time to go would be the morning and late afternoon (which is when I went all the times). Also, you can obviously drive a car or ride your own motorbike to this park, but not sure of how much parking is. This park is absolutely huge and has many many flower beds trees, pathways (all paved), a big pavilion which wasn’t open when I was there and running areas. In addition, there are also giant hedges, small enclosed gardens, topiary trees landscaped with flowers, a swamp, and these special walkthroughs that are covered in giant vegetables, and these walkthroughs actually have a number of huge gourds hanging from them and it looks so cool! The park naturally also has a lot of trees which lots of people would set up mats or blankets and have a picnic and just enjoy the outdoors. There were actually a lot of food vendors there too. However, I was told there were more than normal only because there was a special flower show going on during the times I visited. I guess there would usually not be that many food vendors for that matter if there isn’t an event going on, but nonetheless, you could still buy drinks and food from within the park. Also, as kind of main feature of something you can do within this park, there is a big lake and you can pay to go on these swan paddle boats and paddle out on the lake for awhile! I’m not sure of the cost nor how long one can ride the paddle boats for, but it was an activity that I saw a lot of people taking part in, and to which there were actually long lines for people who were waiting to ride them. In conclusion, this is a really extravagant park and one that, if you’re in the area, please have a check out. It’s a super impressive and great park to enjoy on a holiday or just on a day off from work!

Benjakitti Park is a beautiful park where you can find nature and scenic areas downtown Bangkok. It’s a perfect place for exercising, resting your body and mind. It’s suitable for all ages. You can go there with your partner, friends, family or solo. The place offers a large track around the lake where people can either run or walk. In this place, you can do a lot of activities ,such as walking, running, biking, paddling, picnicking, stretching, etc. For biking, you can either rent a bicycle in the park (which would cost you only about 40 baht per hour) or bring your own bike. The bike lane is separated from the track which helps reduce accidents. What’s more, there are paddle boats and conoes you can rent in the park. Benjakitti Park provides refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. There is a long porch alongside the lake where you can find benches and enjoy the scenery of the lake as well as the surrounded buildings. The scenery of this park is beautiful beyond description. Some people go there to enjoy taking photos, such as graduation photos. Some Thai series used this place as one of their scenes. The park is an easily accessible place where it takes only around 10-15 mins walk from Asok BTS station, Sukhumvit MRT station or Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre MRT station. There are also parking lots in case you bring your own car. This place is highly recommended!!

Wachira Benchathat Park (Rot Fai Park)

Reviewed By ViaggiatorExpert30

If you want to take a break from the wonderful, but also crazy and chaotic Bangkok, you have to visit this park. You can easily this park from bts (Mo-chit) and mrt Chatuchack park. You have to go through the small Chatuchack park in order to reach the bigger Wachira Benchathat Park. They are attached, so I consider them how the same park, although formally they are distincts. The admission is free. The park isn't full of people, and you can ride bicycle, running, walking, or simply having some relax. Moreover you can see in the park some animals like monitor lizards, squirrels, birds. Inside the park there is the Bangkok Butterfly Garden, where you can see some plants and of course butterflies. Anyway you can see many beautiful plants and flowers around the park. There are also some sign of explanations about plants but they are written only in thai (so we can suppose it isn't so turist, and that is good).
