Reviewed By 526emilysCute, clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay during a trip to Ensenada. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of hot water. The pool was being resurfaced when we were there but it was too cold out for a swim anyway. The location is central in town so walking is easy. It’s a few blocks away from the major cruise ship and tourist areas, which made it a bit less congested than those areas. A few cute restaurants and cafes nearby, and the churro place attached to the hotel is great!

Reviewed By AncestorSearch1This was very easy to book a hotel right on the Beach in Ensanada, Mex. February 20-23 2017 so will be there for Fat Tuesday! YES! secured walkway down to the beach is great, parking was convenient. They were remodeling the guest suites while there but not at night and were very helpful....the only thing I did wrong was I booked twice thinking the first one did not go through and they did not refund the booking fee for it. Live and learn!!!

Cheap and you get what you pay for, but good
Reviewed By Dan SStaff at best speaks VERY little English, but try to make it work. Speaking Spanish (it IS Mexico after all!) would be best, but I made it work and didn’t even need Google Translate. This is a low end motel (not a hotel as it’s sometimes marketed). Makes a 1990s Motel 6 look good. The bathroom saw better years a couple of decades ago and there is some mold on the ceiling, but it’s minimal and not so gross considering it’s mold. There’s also some rust on the exposed plumbing. The sleeping are is clean, though the carpet was a bit stained. Bed was OK with clean sheets, though the pillow sucked and you only get two. The dresser drawers were difficult to pull out, the cabinet is warped. There is at least a couple of good restaurants nearby and a food truck on just outside the property with GREAT food. I think the biggest downside is noise. There seems to be one or more clubs nearby that create a lot of music noise at night. Also, road noise comes right through the walls, so if you want to sleep in the day GOOD LUCK! Another downside in the winter is that there is no heat.

Reviewed By FoxZuluBuscando motel para pasar un rato en pareja decidimos llegar a Motel Marche en base a fotografías. La verdad no nos decepcionó, a mi gusto es el mejor motel en Mexicali. Instalaciones nuevas y bien cuidadas, de 3 veces, siempre estuvieron limpias las habitaciones, solo el wifi no tiene tan buena recepción por eso las 4 estrellas. El precio podría parecer elevado en comparación a otros, pero sinceramente vale la pena para un rato agradable.

There is a Condon along with the mints & water on the bedside table. A sex chair beside the bed along with a mirror.... the room was run down & there were public hairs still in the bathroom. Just gross.

Reviewed By McLinksterWell, I decided to give this place a try on my most recent trip. I came away with mixed feelings (as usual). Pro: The room is a little larger than some other budget places I've stayed. It seemed reasonably clean, albeit a little dusty here and there (possibly due to the practice of leaving the windows cracked open for circulation.). There is a kitchenette and a refrigerator (the stove needs to be lit manually). The location is good - two/three blocks from the tourist area/malecon. The city government complex, including post office, and la estacion de policia federal (yep, Los Federales!)(Do NOT trifle with those guys!) is directly across the street. This would, I hope, tend to promote a safer surrounding area. The San Nicolas/Caliente Casino is but a block away if that's your thing. The hot water is hot! Good TV service, including English-language channels from San Diego. No Porn. (Good or bad, depending on your preferences) The Wi-Fi signal is a bit weak, but seemed to be consistently available. Con: This place is showing its age. Low gas pressure to the stove, minor leaks in the plumbing, a bit of uneven settling... - you get the idea. No Air conditioning - not a major issue except in deep summer in Ensenada. My bed was definitely on the firm side. Seems to be a common characteristic in this motel. View out the front window was the parking lot for guest's cars (paved). View out the back window was a parking lot for junk cars (unpaved). The room is poorly lit at night, exacerbated by the dark varnished wood ceiling. Bring a flashlight and/or a battery lantern if you need to work at the desk. Keep this one in your arsenal of possible places to stay if all you need is a clean dry place to sleep.
