I normally travel by myself but this time I travelled with my family. My biggest concern is always safety. I got two separate rooms which were on separate floors. I slept by myself and I felt very safe. If you’re a female traveler I highly recommend this place. It was impeccably clean, the staff are insanely kind, and it’s in a great location. It’s located in the heart of downtown. It was such a great experience being able to stay here. Out of all the places I’ve travelled this was by far my favorite stay.

great stay !

Reviewed By Loj888

we stayed at Los Picos for 18 days last month. Our first unit was a sizeable 2 bedroom but was quite "dated t overland while it overlooked the pool we were right above the airconditioner fans quite for the complex making sitting out side noisy. Due to a burst pipe in the bathroom and were fortunately moved to a almost brand new unit in the tower next door. We had a quite sizeable seperate bedroom with 2 Queen sized beds and bathroom and the main room had a pullout couch, kitchen and another bathroom. The kitchen was quite large with a table that seated 4, a 4 burner stove, full sized fridge and microwave. The unit was clean and we had a great water view. I highly recommend staying at Los Picos, especially in the new tower! Our thanks to "Ray" for assisting us in our relocation to a room in the new tower.

Hotel Bahia Paraiso

Hotel Bahia Paraiso it's an ecological concept in the Nayarit Riviera. Being the only hotel in San Blas next to the beach it's surrounded by a beautiful scenery, jungle and mangles. We can guarantee a really peaceful stay with a lot of outside nature activities like crocodile zoo, jaguars, birds sightseeing and way more activities that will make a unique experience to all our visitors. Being a self-sustained eco-friendly hotel, you can expect being in contact with nature and its surroundings

Not worth the money

We paid approx. $100 per night USD for a room that should have sold for $45. In the room there is a king sized bed (that's nice) with a memory foam topper (again, nice), two plain end tables beside the bed, a small dining table which is very beat up and 4 straight-backed chairs. There is a TV on top of the closet (good) and an excellent air conditioner (very good). But there are no drawers to hold your clothes, no place to sit comfortably, no trash can (one in the bathroom, that's it), no telephone to call the front desk (and no one staffing the front desk 90% of the time, although when I found the staff they were very helpful, but no English whatsoever, not even "pocito"). The screen door falls off every time we open or close it, the drapes and towels are ragged, and there's only a partial door on the bathroom. The highlight was the dead lizard on the front of the open closet (if you can call it that). The shower is paved with pebbles in concrete - very hard on the feet. The bathroom sink is a receptacle sink with a plain pipe sticking out of the wall (somebody's version of fashionable, I suppose). There is one tap so the water is whatever temperature it is with no ability to adjust the temperature and no hot water. There's only a few inches around the bathroom sink to put anything and no other place. The place could greatly benefit from some very inexpensive additions - an armchair and a chest of drawers in each room (there's plenty of space - which is a good thing) and an additional trash can in the bedroom. It IS right on the beach and that's lovely. But it's very "down market" and not well thought out for the expat traveler anyway. We're still here for a second night as I stupidly prepaid on the internet - lesson learned - otherwise we'd have gone somewhere else.

BEST LOCATION! Adorable rooms

I booked three rooms for a night and they were all great. The location is right on the beach in the main area of Sayulita. I'd definitely book here again. The view from our room was incredible. Waking up and seeing the ocean is one of my favourite things in the world!

The worse experience

Reviewed By Salverainaiemanja

When I arrived at the hotel it was empty, a handwritten piece of paper glued to the gate said to call a number to enter the hotel. I called 15 times with no answer. I contacted them through the booking app that I used and the hotel answer was that their staff had other priorities and that check in times are from 2pm to 3pm. There is no sign or warning of this rule ANYWHERE . Not in the booking app or in their info. Horrible experience. DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL ALDAMA!

Beautiful and Peaceful

Reviewed By karengfs

We stayed two nights and were very happy with this hotel. Our cabin was charming and clean, The pool is surrounded by wonderful trees and tons of birds. We ate both nights on site after lots of discussion about the many many restaurants around the lake we were too relaxed to get into the car and go anywhere. The restaurant menu has a good variety of choices and reasonable prices same with the bar menu. We had the desk order us a small boat and did the tour around the lagoon totally worth it ( 350 P ) to see all the fabulous and fancy houses. Note that the staff mostly speaks only Spanish so have your google translate ready

Hotel staff was always kind and willing to help. Like a lot of businesses in small towns in Mexico, be sure to have cash in pesos ready. The spacious rooms were quiet, cool, and relaxing. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a great view of the volcano. High speed internet was a plus!
