Award winning coastal adventures. We offer bike, kayak and paddleboard rentals as well as lessons and tours, including Coasteering trips and tours. Our staff and guides know this coast like no-one else so we're on hand for all the local knowledge you need. We do everything we can to make yours a memorable day, our customers kindly awarded us a Trip Advisor certificate of excellence in 2015, 2017 and 2018. Coquet Shorebase Trust

Coquet Shorebase Trust is a water activity centre and we aim to make getting involved accessible for everyone. At our main centre at The Braid, Amble you can take part in canoe or kayak tours of the estuary looking at the wildlife, geology and history of the area from the water. We also offer powerboat courses so you can learn to handle a craft safely and receive a qualification. From our base at Druridge Bay Country Park, next to the visitor centre, you can hire kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, windsurfers and sailing dinghies to use on the lake. We are also able to offer dedicated instruction in both adult and children's activities Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets are all provided and we have hot showers at both locations for when you come off the water. No experience is necessary for most activities but you do need to contact the office by phone or email to book so we can make sure that we can provide the best experience for you We look forward to welcoming you.

We offer guided trips or coaching to individuals, couples, families, small groups, youth groups including Guides and Scouts and Schools, Colleges and Universities. Having lived and worked in the area since 1999 we have the most experienced and highly qualified paddlesport coach in the area. We offer a safe and suitable adventures matching your experience and needs. We have a wide range of paddlesports equipment including 2 and 3 open canoe, river kayaks, sea kayak, surf kayaks, surf skis for your use and also offer equipment hire to people we have taken out at some point or who are experienced enough to use on a suitable body of water. We do also offer intro rock climbing, Summer family coasteering sessions and history cycle tours.
