Good service but as usual in China staff speaks rarely english. Variety of food for breakfast and also quality is very good. Good value for money with room for improvements.

Fine when traveling on a budget
Reviewed By WillemRWI accidentally approved this hotel from the organization I was working with. Therefore I was a bit unpleased with the hotel, given the fact I thought it was a $150 a night hotel. However, now knowing the actually price, I can confirm that it’s a solid offer for what you‘d be paying. The hotel restaurant is not amazing for westerners, but the rest of the hotel is very decent. Nice staff, clean rooms (bit of a weird layout but that‘s not a dealbreaker in my book). I‘d say it‘s excellent for the money you pay, but I‘d look further for when on a business trip.

Reviewed By jzx61Check in: excellent. I checked in at Club lounge and checked out at main lobby. Gym: very good. a little small. great LifeFitness equipment. It needs to be aired out because of new hotel and all windows and doors were locked. Room: very good. clean and spacious (open suite design). Food: excellent services at Chinese restaurant. Breakfast was good. Most staff are new and need to be trained a little more. Place Mats need to be changed after guest used and left. This is minimum standard for Marriott. Overall: my stay was good!

Reviewed By bnithin123This hotel has a traditional chinese look and modern facilities inside. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. The staff are courteous and can manage little english. The buffet breakfast spread includes western food and quite wholesome. Right across the hotel is the yancheng local market, where one can shop for local stuff at very reasonable price. The hotel has KTV and massage facilities for relaxation. At times it gets crowded, since it has huge community halls, which is used for marriages and hence parking becomes a nuisance. Overall a great place to stay.

Reviewed By Knirps1957Yueda Hotel is definetely not recommended to use it for western people. Rooms are very much used even using the better rooms with living room etc. but hard bed and dirty carpet and floors starting from corridor to the room make it not worth to stay. Outside very noisy through horning cars since the hotel is directly located at road crossing. Breakfast is very chinese style and less possibility for western to get some acceptable food . Cleannes is not on a very high standard and not recommended to eat there. As the better solution it is recommended to stay in a new 5 star hotel in Yancheng. Since Yidu Jinling Grand Hotel (5 star) is available western standard is also available in Yancheng. The much better solution as to stay in Yueda Hotel.

Not a 5 star hotel
Reviewed By barronmarOur NO SMOKING room- which I requested and require since I have COPD and react to the smell of cigarettes — reeked of stale cigarettes and even had an ashtray & matches in a drawer. Another issue was that they only provided 2 bottles of water daily. When I asked for extra water, they proved many bottles. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was excellent and huge. They even had Yancheng specialties. Also, they provided me with a humidifier which they refilled daily. The room was large, the bathroom clean. Finally pollution pollution pollution. Here is the view from my bedroom on 2 consecutive mornings. So bring a good mask.
