Oktoberfest weekend
Reviewed By Ignacio RSpent a long weekend there with plans for Oktoberfest. The hotel is very nice, we had double and triple rooms. The rooms are nice, classic hotel fridge, desk, TV and a normal bathroom. The only thing I find should be better is the bed size, is a regular bed and it is a little bit small for what I am used to. It also has small separated houses for 6 people as options. It has covered parking spots, outdoor heated pool, a big BBQ to rent and do your own asados. It is located near the entrance of town, you a are 4 blocks away from main street and 2 from a supermarket. The back part of the hotel looks straight into the mountains, so if you get a room looking that side it is a very nice view.

Terrific Stay
Reviewed By Shannon ZA couple of friends and I stayed at Blumenau a few weeks ago in late August. We had originally wanted to stay in one of the cabanas, but it just so happened that they were unavailable at that time. However, the concierge was extremely helpful otherwise and was able to arrange housing for us on the spot. He also gave us numerous recommendations for other things to do in the area. The rooms were lovely and spacious. Breakfast, which consisted of a few pastry items, was brought to the room in the morning. All of us loved our stay at Blumenau!

Reviewed By jewelr2021I found this little gem and so glad I did. First time eating at Blackstone Cafe. The service was great food was awesome. I will be visiting again. I will recommend to others who are visiting Beaufort.

Worst experience in an hotel
Reviewed By lorenzor465Absolutely the worst experience that I had in my life. A shame, cause the place have a great potential. We arrived at 6:30 pm and we didn't receive our room until 9:30 pm, and the worst is what the receptionists did during this 3 hours window. First of all, there were 3 kids on the reception desk, and we've been attended by the 2nd youngest (also, there was no a single manager to talk with). We've been explained the rule of the hotel, which took a good amount of time, and they explained to us that room wouldn't been clean every day, due to covid restrictions, but nobody in the office were wearing a mask ? (we later founded out that in reality the problem was that the hotel expanded too quickly without expanding the staff, and this news came from another oldest receptionist 2 days later). The 4 of us then, 1 couples of parents and 1 of sons, are been assigned 2 rooms in the "superior" part of the hotel. The problem was that when we arrived, the room where totally incomplete, and I mean, there were workers Inside! The rooms were dirty of paint, construction dust, had leaking on the ceiling in one case, didn't have hot water. So we went back, to ask if this was a mistake (meanwhile the same receptionists made us wait long time cause other customers kept arriving). So the 2nd youngest passed the ball to the youngest girl, which confusing started to walk back and forth from the reception to the rooms, to "control" the situation (the rooms are around 500mt from the reception). After around 40 minutes of wait, they tried to assign us 2 other rooms of the same complex, but when we went to them, again we found out the same situation. Dirty, workers on them and no hot water in one. So we want back again to the desk and tried to talk with a manager, and the first receptionist responded that she was sorry, couldn't do more at this point and she wouldn't pass the phone number of the manager, to which they where talking all this time trough the phone, explaining that was in holiday and didn't wish to talk to us. End of the story, 3h later, we've been assigned 3 other rooms, from which we could choose, and we had to accept them in those conditions, cause otherwise we wouldn't have a place to sleep, after 13h driving, cause was bank Holiday in Argentina. The day after we recall the reception and ask to send someone to fix the hot and cold water. For us was the first time we live a bad experience like this, but there is a first time for everything. Now that you know a bit more, I hope won't be yours.

Chamonix snow filled holiday
Reviewed By Fearless762195Chamonix is a small town in the French Alps . I spent a weekend there with my 2 daughters and niece . Had beginner sking lessons , rode the snow mobiles . Husky dog sledging , and swimming in a heated pool while snow falling . Stayed at The Refuge at chamonix SUD ! Was an awesome family holiday . Tried all sorts of food . Cheese n tomato Fondu was the best . Enjoyed snowfall starting from flurries to proper snow falling !

Reviewed By IvoroddThe Hotel is not clean, thw rooms are outdated and the staff was not really helpful. We got a room that wasn't clean ad we communicated the issue 3 times but nobody did anything about it. The rug is super old and it's dirty, this hotel is a nightmare for an asthmatic. The pool is ok and the breakfast is horrible. I am nlt trying to be mean at all. It was also super expensive, 75 euros per night for a dirty room and supermarket breakfast.
