Worst food experience during Italy trip
Reviewed By 462ybOn the road there’s a sign saying: ‘restaurant, trattoria, pizzeria’. This is not true. When we asked for a table they hesitated and gave us one. After he seated us we heard the waiter yelling at the chef in Italian ‘there’s another two....’ on a not very welcoming way. For the food we had choice of 2 types of pasta (primi) and 2 types of fish as a secondi. For the wine there was a choice of red or White House wine. No wine list while we saw a a wine fridge / display with many different wines. The waiter told us the house wines were local wines, which they weren’t. They were just cheap wines from a large wine distributor in Italy. They charged us €20 for a bottle. While our dinner was served we heard another table complaining about the bill they received (they don’t tell prices when they tell what limited choice there is). The food itself was far from special (this is an understatement!) and the service terrible. The price is far to high (there were 3 of 5 tables complaining). We spent 4 weeks traveling though Italy/Puglia but this was by far our worst food experience. So my advice: don’t go here for dinner!!

Reviewed By Iztok Mclose to beautifull sandy beach, near some good restaurants and bars there is village with pool and nice nature. Stuff are very friendly. There is only 900 meters to the nice old city. Highly recomended for vacation.

Beautiful place for staying in Apulia

It was our first visit in Apulia, we knew that attractions like Alberobello, Matera etc. are strongly worth to see - but on the other hand during the hot summer we wanted to rest in peace on the beach. That's why we chose Gargano region as our destination. And Malia Village as an acommodation place. That choice resulted in one of the best vacations in last years. Malia Village is beatifully kept place with a lot of plants. There is a swimming pool with bar in which we spent almost all the time before midday. There are of course beautiful sandy beaches in walking distance - we enjoyed staying there in the afternoons. Vieste, Peschici, Monte Saint'Angelo are the typical south-Italian towns which we visited by nights. We strongly recommend to visit Malia Village and Gargano area.

Reviewed By lauramtorinoThe place is near Vieste, near the beach, perfect if you go for the beach, less so if you want to see Vieste. My room was upgraded given the low season and the scarcity of customers. It was nice and clean but very cold. I had to double up the bedspread to keep warm. The restaurant was cold too. I also had dinner there because it was pouring with rain and I didn’t feel like going out looking for restaurants. The food was less than average but above all they brought me the main course before the the first course, never happened to me before. When I remarked first they said it was the appetizer, then they said they did not to have me waiting, as the main course was already ready! Luckily they didn’t come with the dessert, that was surely ready too…. There is free parking, and an acceptable breakfast.

Very chic accommodations
Reviewed By Hoppers33020Spent one night in Vieste and this B&B was perfect for us. Pluses: Yuri at the front desk was great, very friendly and had lots of suggestions for things for us to do and see. Good English language skills. The entire B&B was new and modern looking, with great accent lighting in blues, reds and other colors. Great metallic looking tiles throughout our room. Queen size bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower was amazing. An overhead rain type with multicolored halogen lights overhead. Continental breakfast was nice, a good croissant, cakes and yogurt, juice and all the cappuccinos we wanted. Great location on the main street near old town. Couldn't ask for more. Things to know: Located on the fourth floor up, walked up the first time until I saw the small elevator past the stairs. Suggest you call 15-30 minutes in advance to make sure Yuri is at the reception. For those from the US remember to dial the 39 country code first. Yuri communicated with us via What's App texts. Street parking is a challenge since all nearby parking is blue paid parking only for locals. Not a problem to stay in a nearby lot two locks away, GPS search for "Via Jenner Vieste 71019" Pay the man in the parking lot 10 Euro for overnight parking.

Reviewed By dam_mar1This time I was disappointed ,, It’s a beautiful location , lovely ample swimming pools , lovely beach front , even the Hotel staff is nice , courteous , and available .. the animation was superb , the young man that sang every night and kept us entertained by the bar was superb ( even if after a few nights it gets repetitive ) , but the thing that disappointed me was the food and the rooms ,, for that price you expect a lot more than “ habitat type of furniture “ ,, the rooms look TIRED , the bath/shower inadeguate .. not coffe making facilities in the room , so , it’s 5 star hotel prices , but you get 3 star type luxury ,, I been there many times before , when there was a proper correlation between price and accommodation ,, but not this time ,, as for the restaurant , due to Covid there was no additional buffet , therefore we had to make do with what was offered ,, and again , for the price ( 40/50 euros per head ) , the portions were very VERY SMALL ,and if the wife agrees ( we are not huge eaters ) than we know it’s not exaggeration, ,, in the past you could add the buffet side of things , and fill yourself up , but this time all we could ask for was bread bread bread IF WE WERE LUCKY TO CATCH THE WAITER ,..the pasta course was nothing more than testers ,the quality of the food was Very average ,,..,, the SERVICE in the restaurant was also poor , so they wear these dated “ black tie “ that is supposed to represent glamour , but the staff were not attentive , in fact it was very hard to get their attention ,, WE WERE VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED,,,

Everything you want is available. COVID Protection is taken very seriously. Beach is included. —> nice and not too crowded. We will book again - next time earlier.

The hotel deserves 5 but is let down by reception/ bar staff, on returning from dinner we wanted to order bottle of wine only to be told that they only had half a bottle of white and nothing else. I asked why a 4 star hotel with a bar open 24 hrs had no wine, I was told that’s how it was. Eventually they agreed to get some brought up from the restaurant, why could this not have been done at the beginning? Why was the bar allowed to run out? This is Italy

Reviewed By Adriana DThe room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The common rooms are large and bright. Breakfast quite good, very nice and helpful staff. Shuttle service to the center, only a quarter of an hour away on foot.
