Reviewed By MlanukOkayish city centric hotel, the staff is eager to please. Property is old and about 10 min from airport. Food was hardly authentic - we ordered the goan thali. But slow - susegad goa. We didn’t get the chance of a bfast but I’m assuming it’s standard fare.

Dingy rooms and pathetic bathrooms
Reviewed By shooa2022Our flight to Goa was super delayed and we didn’t want to reach our resort, which was quite a ways away, late at night. So we decided to stay that night at Mariariose. The hotel is located off the main roads. When we reached there late at night, it was kind of scary because it was very lonely. The rooms were very bad. Sheets seemed re-used so I had to get them changed. When first requested, one of the people at the front desk refused saying they don’t have staff to do it. Then I asked the manager (I presume?) who came in. He got it changed. The bathrooms were reeking to high heavens! It was absolutely pathetic! We didn’t even want to step into the bathroom in case we would throw up! Deciding to be considerate I asked for the rooms to be cleaned first thing in the morning and not right then late at night. I was told somebody would come by around 8 am but nobody did. The walls of the rooms were all stained and the carpet was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen in my life. The next morning when we went down to have breakfast (which was ok), we had a look at the pool which was right beside the cafe. It looked like the water hadn’t been cleaned out it ages! It was so murky, we couldn’t even see the bottom of the pool. The cafe also had a lot of flies. Overall we had an awful experience. Let alone it being a 3 star hotel, I wouldn’t even give it 2 stars! I would strongly recommend against staying at this property!

True Goan feel. Ideal for short stays or for someone looking for accommodation away from the hustle and bustle.

Sooram was polite, courteous, and made our dinner very comfortable. He was extremely soft-spoken and served the delicious dinner before time. I am looking forward to coming to Citadel in the future too :)

The Menu had ample Veg and Non Veg options. The restaurant is known to serve good Non Veg food, however, Goa is a Sea Food consuming State and the restaurant does not subscribe to that tag. The restaurant was partially full during our visit. We tried Non Veg food, which included Sea Food dishes and food lived up to our expectations. The pricing was reasonable, considering the grade of the restaurant. The service was very good. Overall, the restaurant does not excel in any particular department but none the less, provides a good eating option in Vasco.

Reviewed By Gala2812We stopped at this hotel to have some rest before the flight. The stuff is pretty friendly but the quality of room was far from those on the pics. Shabby and far from cleanliness that could be expected for the money it costed. Its ok if you re not picky and/or have no other choice. But I wouldn't stop there again. When booking its important to read all the details, there are rooms without bathrooms that can be offered through the web search. As I mentioned above, the stuff was friendly and helpful. Location just a couple minutes of drive from tbe airport is a plus. But if you need to go by a taxi at nighttime that would be a hell tariff of about 500 rupees.
