Food in the restaurant was very good although we had to remind the waiting staff to chase up the wine and the ice cream ordered which took longer than it should at dinner. Full English breakfast certainly hit the spot for our 4 hour drive back to our home at The Morgan Garage, Little Hallingbury

Reviewed By RickySmith2014Having just spent four nights at the above and only having one nights decent sleep I felt that I should write this review, we had three nights of noise made by people banging doors all night I can not understand why as this was most of the night and morning, I reported it twice to reception and nothing was done. We also put the "please make up room " sign on our door handle on our last full day but this did not happen, this meant we where left with no toilet roll once again I asked reception twice but did not receive any I had to go to the toilet near reception and take some paper from there. The rooms are dirty with marks on the bed linen and stains on the carpet it is in need of a make over. To end on a good note the staff in the restaurant are very good and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will not be going back.

The standard of cleanliness, quality of service and beautiful surroundings all made this one night get-away a trip to remember. Fantastic accommodation. 100% recommend to all. Would definitely stay again. First class choice of breakfast - extremely well cooked. Very comfortable night. Beautiful bed linen. Host and Hostess were so charming and welcoming. We felt really relaxed and spoilt. So many extra touches from fresh cold milk to make drinks in the room (rather than long life plastic capsules) to good quality biscuits and bottled water. No wonder this accommodation scores so high. You could not fault it. ?????

Fantastic Sunday lunch
Reviewed By LaxegeThe first time we have visited since new ownership. The welcome was very friendly and the staff very courteous and helpful. All our meals were perfect with fresh vegetables and lovely gravy. Portions were a good size but managed to squeeze in a pudding . We shall certainly visit often and encourage others to venture to Thelbridge .

Couldn’t stay
Reviewed By tannealWe turned up to stay for 3 nights, couple were lovely and friendly. We were shown our room this is when the disappointment kicked in. There where yellow stains on the sheets and on top of the mattress was a piece of foam, obviously must be something wrong with the mattress, there was no way I was sleeping on a piece of foam. The bathroom floor was spongy so must of had a flood at sometime. Stains on the curtains, I know they get good reviews but unfortunately not for us.

Nice breakfast but disappointing accommodation
Reviewed By mikepJ5802OYA disappointing over night stay. Difficult to find using the sat navigation. Room converted out buildings. Wife needed the window open in the night as the room smelled damp. I trod on something slimmy outside the bathroom in the night. This being by the front door. Which didn’t fit well. See photo. The owner said it was probably a slug !!! On investigation I think it was possible a young newt. See photo. On a positive note. The owners were lovely people and supplied a good breakfast.
