Reviewed By Mauro1972It is confortable , the food is probably the worst part but I am not Mexican and it is for local. The room are spacius and clean , wifi is good and the position is best if you don't have a car. The building itself it is very nice and Mexican style. It deserve a stay.

Very Good Base of Operations
Reviewed By travels_with_redWe weren't in Mexico to luxuriate in the hotel -- we had business to do, and the City Express was a great base of operations. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The location was ideal (including a mall and several restaurants just across the parking lot). This was a good place for us -- and the price was right. If there was any problem, it was during check-in. I had reserved three rooms for our team using one of he consolidator services (I used Hotels.com) and it seemed like that caused a lot of problems. (As a side note -- I'm becoming less and and less impressed with these consolidator services -- they may save you a few pesos, but the hassles they add aren't worth it.) Part of the problem undoubtedly was the fact that the desk clerk was very, very new (she kept having to go ask her boss how to do things, and taking my credit card with her) and the fact that my Spanish is un poco pobre. All in all, this is a very good hotel for Téhuacan. When we need to come back to the area, this is where we'll stay.

Reviewed By Carlos RThis hotel is a good place to stay while visiting Tehuacán. The room was large, clean and looked nice. It includes a good breakfast that is taken to your room, in order to follow the rules to avoid contact with other persons, in this time of covid19.

Reviewed By Tom WI arrived in Tehuacan via a bus from Puebla that cost about 200 pesos. I immediately booked a room for the night with a pleasant member of staff who was patient with my poor Spanish. The bed was comfy, and the shower was more than ample although it wasn't very warm. This was not a priority though, as Mexico is hot! Surprise surprise... I was given a key to my room, and told that check out was at 1pm, which is very agreeable. All in all, I had a very good experience.

This hotel surprised me!! My room was amazing!!

My room was huge, with Streetview at the front of the hotel, second floor with a huge terrace, big windows overlooking the park. The room had enough size to throw a party. A big bed, a huge bathroom with an amazing shower. nice soft mattress, the pillows, wow...... The wifi due to the huge room was a bit dodgy, but when I could connect to the hotel wifi the speed was superb. Friendly staff, fast check-in and check-out, parking garage with very slippery tiles and small. But the room of my son was a bit different, first floor (118 if I remember well) also huge, double beds, but his neighbour was a karaoke bar and so he had a lot of nighttime noise that kept him awake. But overall a good hotel COVID rules: This was the first hotel where all the rooms were aired when not in use, during daytime all doors and windows were open, they closed them at night. I saw housekeeping clean doors, light switches, doorposts, handles, touchpads for opening the door, there was gell on every floor. It was not in your face unfriendly and unwelcoming, but it was solid and well thought off. I had full confidence I stayed in a very clean sanitized room.

Reviewed By coryd17Stayed here recently on a quick business trip. Property looks like it used to be great back in the 60's and 70's, but now needs to be updated. Restaurant has good food, but for non-Spanish speakers, it's really hard to order since the entire menu is in Spanish. Rooms are tidy and small. Just like the rest of the property, they need to be updated. Fitness Center is really just a closet with equipment that is either broken or so close together that it can't be used. Wifi kept going in and out.

Reviewed By ricardosm2017El hotel tiene una ambientación árabe (Líbano). Tienen alberca. Tiene todos los servicios. La habitación es limpia y ámplia. El costo es muy bueno, considerando que la habitación tiene dos camas matrimoniales y se incluye el desayuno; si prefieres el buffet, pagas la diferencia. El personal es muy amable y está dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento. Los pequeños detalles son: Las toallas se ven y se sientes viejas. La distancia al centro de la Ciudad es considerable si no llevas auto; pero el transporte público es barato.

Great budget hotel with super friendly and helpful staff
Reviewed By 313hazelwWe initially booked for one night to be able to visit the Reserva Biosfera de Tehuacan and was given a new family room. The hotel is the process of being modernised and we had the first of the newly renovated rooms. The big bonus for us was a large flat screen TV with Star TV and all the sports channels you can think of so we were able to keep up to date with the weekend's important sporting action overseas! Wifi was patchy and dropped out sometimes. The room was large, fresh and comfortable - we had room 27 which faced the street and had windows! (Many of the internal rooms don't). Hot water and decent water pressure in the shower :-) The family running the hotel went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us with anything we needed. They always had huge smiles on their faces and we felt very welcome. Fabrizzio speaks very good English and helped us with some phone calls in Spanish. Hotel guests get a 40% discount off breakfast in the hotel - making it incredibly good value (as well as being tasty). The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Tehuacan. Lots of restaurants around the main square and excellent Churros in the Apachurro shop on C. 2a J. Ma. Morelos y Pavon! We ended up staying 3 nights, despite there being lots of noise from the renovation / remodelling work. If you are out doing things for most of the day you won't notice the noise, and the friendliness of the staff makes up for it!

No air condition
Reviewed By Rocio TSuper warm when we visited, impossible to sleep given that there´s no air condition in the rooms. Not good to rest and the windows were small and hard to open. Also asked for a receipt for travel expenses and the restaurant and hotel are separated accounts which took forever for them to do it. It said that they had WiFi but did´t work well in the room. Also, very weird vibes in the rooms.
