Reviewed By BEonVacationArrive at the dock and board a long tail boat for the 10 minute trip up-river to the Float House. You may spot a bright blue kingfisher on the bank or a swimming monitor lizard. Arrive at this series of rafts alongside the fast-moving river and be taken to your room. It's simple and most notably has a large outdoor deck on the river. Take a jump in the river and let the swift current carry you downstream (lifejacket required). Come dinner time there is a buffet and a la carte menu. The buffet is thai, the a la carte menu has thai food and some surprisingly good pizza (their peperoni is delicious). This offers good access to hellfire gorge (worth a visit), nearby biking and kayaking, and a nearby national park with waterfalls (reasonably pretty but somewhat crowded). This is an idea hotel for 1-2 nights for travelers seeking a unique experience. This simple yet comfortable hotel trades some luxury for its unique natural environment.

A Big Isolated Resort
Reviewed By xxearnxxBooked 2 jungle chalets for 2 nights. Rooms were spacious. Shower room and toilet were separate. Few toiletries were provided. Shower gel smelled incredibly good, probably the same thing as shampoo and hand wash. Got lots of bugs in the room but understandable. Staff was friendly and helpful but lack of communication as they didn't give us boat coupons, had to walk back to get ones. Boats to the resort used to be free a few years ago but now 150THB/person/round trip. The pier by the river has a stunning view. Great choices of breakfast but a la carte menu was small, boring and expensive. 30THB for a small water bottle. There's a local shop a few kilometers up to the village with cheaper items.

The plusses: a pleasant swimming pool with the adjoining got spring, a delightful view of the river, the grounds (despite a little overgrown and with rickety paths, the plants are interesting), the Sir Ernest 'Weary' Dunlop memorial park (which is a delight, despite some of the exhibits being a touch past their best) The minuses: the rooms are seriously in need of refurbishment, the truly awful breakfast (the general poor and limited choice of food, exacerbated by an annoying policy of the staff serving you rather than self-service (presumably so as to limit the waste)) Did I enjoy my stay....yeah, it was ok. Would I go back....no, I'd want to try out other accommodation.

Reviewed By BermPichitThe place is very nice, good view of the river and historical bridge near a cliff by the river. Room and landscape are well maintained. There are adventure park inside but probably not included in the room rate. Food and service is average. Could be better. Better have dinner somewhere else. Raft room by the river don’t have bathroom. A bit of a hassle during the night.

Reviewed By SapphiraNBGorgeous hotel by the river with swimming pool overlooking the River Kwai. Very friendly and kind staff, accommodating us for breakfast when little or a lot of guests onsite. Lots of animals around too, we counted 5 dogs, 8 puppies, a few cats and kittens plus 3 peacocks! Would definitely come back as such a beautiful resort in nature, 15 minutes away from a climbing crag called Turtles Home. Thank you for having us!

Reviewed By andresggomezAt the beginning i was kind of afraid cause Soi Yok is not what you first hear about Thailand, anyway, i chose this place and i completely recommend it. i had i really peaceful and nice stay, staff is so friendly and the atmosphere of the place is more from what i expected.

However there were very few pool chairs and tables surrounding the pool area. However, the wifi was questionable and definitely did not work throughout the property. The rooms were old and in need of a renovation. The buffet breakfast had a very limited selection of foods, and the lunch quality was average.

Tired hotel catering more for Russian and Chinese guests
Reviewed By tonymoore36On arrival the welcome was not warm,the room could do with a bit more security.the room was a bit dingy,we had a room on the river which had a lovely balcony actually on the river. The pools (there are at least 3)were both ok but our hotel was virtually empty and that meant most of the amenities weren’t staffed.as a jungle location expect to need bug spray in the evenings.You will have to eat at this resort as it’s a long way away from anything else.If you have limited mobility you would struggle at this location,lots of steps and uneven areas. I did however get one of the funniest moments of the holiday when a larger gentleman and a lady were told to change their seats for more robust ones in the restaraunt ?

forget about the room, and their music

What I don't like: - the quality of materials in the room, the blankets and towels were very thin, and do not work well - the blanket could not keep you warm, the towel was not thick enough to dry you off. - the propaganda music during the rafting trip in the morning, it ruined the ambient as we drift along the river in the morning, that was super annoying. it was loud, so repetitive (they replayed over and over, and over, and over). honestly, I wouldn't mind if there're going to play it before the raft took off, but not the whole (or half of the trip) before my friend asked them to turn it off. What I like: - the staff were helpful, friendly, and polite. The receptionist was able to help me when I need something. The rafting staff tried to tell me what to do and what to expect from the experience. The garden who I think he's from the local gave me a bit of information of what people in the area are like, and what attractions I should visit. - The location for my room was great. It was on the raft. It was on the river. There's a balcony where I can sit and dip my feet into the river, it was so peaceful and relaxing. - Apart from 2 meals which were included, the price of snack, tea, coffee, drinks were reasonable. It's a little higher than normal but it's understandable - Wifi was available. It was not always accessible but I know it's because of my phone. -
