Small Chalet with impeccable service, rooms, and location.
Reviewed By dvBozemanWe spent four nights at Chalet Grumer. The location is a bit out of the center of town, but in my mind all that much better. you likely have a car while traveling in this region, so driving an extra couple miles to the hotel make no difference, except that you have a better view and exceptional privacy. The rooms are meticulously maintained and each of them has a great view, deck, or balcony. The cleaning service is efficient non-disruptive. The breakfasts are simple, but the highest quality of both food and presentation. This ins't a 'full-service' type hotel, so if you expect to have minions of staff buzzing around to cater to you, you will probably be disappointed, however, the service was overall spectacular. Anything you needed was available and all requests were fulfilled promptly (e.g. idea for best driving route to our next destination). There was a 'honesty bar' with snacks and a great selection of drinks available in the dining area 24 hours a day (love the vibe of just trusting your guests) and the spa was great. I am not some big spa guy, but the sauna, steam room, bath combo was used daily. If you are looking for something other than the big hotel with the big local reputation, this is your destination. If you decide to go, enjoy.

A Wonderful Experience
Reviewed By SCR5We stayed at the Hotel Weihrerhof in late June several years ago and my kids are still talking about it. Every time we're asked about our Italy vacation, they recommend other families visit and I'm finally getting around to writing a review. The Renon plateau is gorgeous and the Hotel Weihrerhof is a unique experience. We travelled to Venice and rented a car do drive to the Dolomites then the Lake district. I was a little uncertain about the Weihrerhof since when I booked it there weren't any reviews in English. We were the only American family staying at the Hotel, which was a wonderful experience for our children. The staff, food and accommodations were great. We utilized the boats and the tennis courts. We rode the railway to the end and back and visited the bee museum. We rode the cable car to Bolzano to see Otzi the iceman was a fun adventure, although we couldn't wait to get back to the Renon plateau where it was cooler. We highly recommend a stop here to experience a different part of Italy.

The owner showed us the two rooms available and we took the one with the balcony. What a view wr had over the mountains. Spacious room, clean, good beds and a great shower. We also got free tickets for 2 way train trip to the cable lift station and also for a 2 way ride with the lift to Bolzano. The breakfast was really extensive with all kinds of fresh food and drinks. Eggs any style were served on request. You can not book the hotel through booking.com, you have to contact the hotel yourself. But is worth the exercise. We will be back!!

Money well spent
Reviewed By TJO1966In general this was a great place to stay. We were in Ritten for an Ice Hockey tournament and these apartments were clean, cosy and good value. The coffee shop downstairs were exceptionally friendly, helpful and provided us with very tasty, good value breakfasts. The views were amazing from the balcony and I would love to return in summer. Only negative really is that the kitchen lacked a kettle and washing up cloth/liquid and if travelling with children be aware that the upstsirs is open plan sleeping.

The view from our room is stunning and all the hotel's facilities are beyond our expectations. You must try Tiramisu served at the hotel. It is the best we have ever had. Putting all the pleasant experience at the hotel aside, we're also very pleased and thankful that Barbara has helped us getting a new car from Avis after our car had a flat tire. Reviewed By FABJourneyThis can be a good place during winter or if you want to hike on mountains. If you want to visit Bolzano it is more complicated. Rooms are a little bit outworn and the wall-to-wall carpet makes the air stuffy. You can not keep window open because the smoke from nearby terasse comes in. Nice staff though.

The staff at reception speak English and were very professional during check in and out. The rooms are spotless and many have a wonderful view of the Dolomites. The restaurant offers an amazing choice of food. There is a wide ranging menu and many specials each day, even fresh oysters! Food is well prepared and tasty. We were there over New Year and it was really special. The place to stay in Klobenstein.
