Hotel nuevo, habitaciones standard y suites con cocina equipada.
Had a room with a side balcony that overlooked the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. No problems with check in which was looked after by Maria. There are no elevators in this hotel which is 3 stories high. There is a fridge and microwave in the room, but bring your own plates and cutlery!. TV does not have any english channels. You need about 5 minutes before Hot water flows from the taps. Pillows are very hard (Hint-Bring your own pillows) see photos of the inside of a pillow! The location is very good, loud music from the beach on weekends, but overall, we enjoyed out stay

Flamingos Inn is a bed and breakfast in the charming fishing village of Chuburná Puerto, just half an hour outside Mérida, the capital of the Yucatan. Mérida has an international airport, which is around 45 mins from the property. Pick up service from Mérida can be arranged, though a car is highly recommended. For our visitors coming from Cancún, there are buses almost every hour, the buses are modern and comfortable, and the ride takes about four hours. Of course, rental cars are also readily available at both airports. At Flamingos Inn, each of our rooms includes a private terrace with sea view, private bathroom, kitchenette, A/C, WI-FI and a luxury king-sized bed. Enjoy our nice pool and the beautiful beach . While here, you can choose to enjoy the silence and tranquility of the Emerald Coast, or ask us for details for you to tour some of the Yucatan's amazing sights, from flamingos in their natural habitat to the incredible Mayan historical and cultural pyramids and ruins!
We recently stayed at Flamingos Inn for my birthday with my wife and had such a great experience that we came back again with our daughter this past weekend. The owners are exceptionally friendly and hospitable and they make sure to put all of the perfect touches on everything (amazing breakfast, nice mattresses, great water pressure, very clean rooms, etc.), which is very hard to find in hotels in the area. We will definitely be back!

When one travels abroad (and I've done it a LOT), security is number one. Both within the hotel and from the world outside. This will give you that in spades. Day 1, put your valuables in the safe at the front desk. Its on camera and there is proof that what goes in there and who sees and does it. Any time you want that stuff, they bring it out. Do arrive with cash instead of credit card however for payment in advance. Mexico Bancs charge 5% fees to local vendors. It helps them greatly if you pay cash. You can get it at the ATM 's at many nearby banks. Be ready. Clean. Especially during COVID 19. Its immaculate. All the time, they clean! Convenient. In any direction out the front door you'll find the beach, great food, and fun. Affordable. Depending on season, of course. Helpful and kind and honest. You won't get fancy coffee fixings, luxury pillows, or even an elevator. If you're older, that may matter! While in town, check out Dentist Gibran Zapata. Best Dentist of my life. Calle 29, walking distance from this hotel. Speaks English. Modern office. Fast, affordable, kind. Tell him Linda sent you. If you have more questions about him, email me at [email protected] and I'll share. Also order Coconut shrimp at Altavela Restaurant about a block away. Off season the town is so peaceful during the week. Gets busy on weekend due to the folks from Merida coming by. Its your choice. Want peaceful rest or more party energy? Its all good. Progreso has gentle souls, I felt safe everywhere, alone, day and night as an older woman. I got a hair cut, prescription glasses, had 4 massages from Rosa near the beach, and had some skin work done by a collegeage in Dr. Zapata's office. A fabulous makeover for bargain prices! I flew to Cancun on SWA, and took the ADO bus to Merida (about $30) and then a local bus to Progreso for about $1 more. Do NOT get your departure COVID test from Mobile Van in Progreso. Get it at the airport in Cancun which opens at 6 AM in Terminal 1. You'll have your answer in 30 minutes and affordably. Then take taxi to Terminal 4 for your Southwest Departure, if that is who you're flying. I stayed at the Courtyard Marriot in Cancun my last night as their shuttle is reliable. Worth the extra cost! Be sure to go to Duty Free once you've cleared security.

There is no wifi in your room. There is only ONE power outlet and that is in the bathroom. If you order breakfast expect to wait 45min at least. At least the beds are comfortable but that is the absolut only positive thing about it. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!

I'll start with the good; the staff were friendly although English was lacking. A chance to brush up on my Spanish I guess! Pool area was nice enough. Aircon was fine. However: The wifi rarely worked. The hot water rarely worked. There's no safety deposit at reception and the safe in our room wasn't attached to the wall!

I arrived at 12pm noon with the understanding that check in is 3pm. They wouldn’t let me store my bag which is a small duffel bag. I felt quite hurt about this. I checked into another place. Never a call or letter from Aabiolob. They got 3 nites of my money and they didn’t check on me or apologize. How would you feel?

The whole building is under construction and totally not up to operational standard as a hotel. We were told our room was not available due to construction so got an upgrade. Well we just went up to the 4th floor without an elevator, that’s all. Then as soon as turned on the A/C, water fall!! The staff girls had to come fix it. The ceiling fan didn’t work. No hot water. No water pressure. We had to fill up the toilet tank ourselves. Used towels were hanging in the closet space when we checked in. Glass side tables were not even permanently attached so come off very easily. Dangerous for the kids. Outside “patio” was used by the construction workers so all kinds of debris were left. We just needed a bed to crash after the beach so we didn’t refuse but other than the location, this place is not even up to the standard of operation. Unpleasant and dangerous. We called twice before coming to inquire a few things but they never answered.
