Excellent position and view

Rooms with beautiful view, small window and small bathroom but I'll come back 100 times to this hotel for the incredible position on the Portopalo's main square, amazing view, easy parking, beautiful breakfast and easy going staff. Both the lady and the young guy at breakfast are very nice taking care of you, remembering what you like from the day before. Really appreciate eggs cooked from the guy and the lady who was going to leave some almond milk for my husband because she understood he liked it. Amazing cakes from Laura, very clever lady. I spoke with her for breakfast and I liked her ideas about how to manage the situation in this strange moment of covid, really advanced lady. They gave us a little gift to take home, really appreciate as well. We will come back

A wonderful B&B
Reviewed By jbdk2018Flora and Sergio are so welcoming and relaxed - they really have created something very special,a little oasis of calm and serenity. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever encountered -Flora's homemade cakes and jams, wonderful local pastries and bread, mason jars of freshly made fruit salad, cheeses, olives,sun-dried tomatoes -all served up with a smile. We wish we were back there dipping a soft brioche into their carefully chosen almond milk!!A perfect start to the day. The house is new, fresh and bright. The bed is comfortable with lovely crisp linen and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. They create a lovely atmosphere among the guests and we were even lucky enough to get a tour of the adjacent historic lighthouse with the soon- to-be-retired lighthouse keeper.They are so helpful with advising guests on what to visit and where to eat; we especially appreciated them telling us about the wonderful Locanda del Porto in nearby Marzamemi. The Casa del Faro is really well located for visiting the Riserva di Vendicari,Marzamemi, Noto and the other baroque towns. We couldn't recommend it more. Un bel abbraccio dall'Irlanda a Flora e Sergio!

A fabulous hotel in a wonderful place
Reviewed By Iain MThe Portopali Suite hotel was comfortable, clean and well located in the lovely town of Portopalo in easy reach of the beach and the town's shops, restaurants and bars. However, the thing that impressed us most about the hotel was Sonia and her amazing hospitality. She was happy to accommodate any request and made sure we had a memorable trip. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Portopalo I would go no further than the Portopalo Suite.

Con l’arrivo della bella stagione alla sera è possibile consumare degli aperitivi preparati a tema accompagnati da video proiezioni musicali di artisti vari che allietano i nostri ospiti poco prima di andare a fuori a cena.

Reviewed By drale_ontheroadThe owner is super kind, friendly and helpful. I arrived without a car and she made sure I could reach the other beaches/cities I wanted to see. The B&B is located only a few minutes walk from the center of town and the town's own very nice beach. Fantastic and very varied breakfast, with fresh and home-cooked food. The room was spacious and everything (room, bathroom, common area) was spotless clean! My only (very small conmplain) is that while I did not hear any noise from the streets, I could hear the TV from the next room and guests chatting at breakfast (latter however is more a sign of the general friendliness of the place)

Just realize later that it was not the best for noisy toddlers, and maybe a bit overpriced for the service offered but the price is all about the great location.

Reviewed By Margaret ZWe had a very nice lunch early April when most other restaurants were closed. It was a very nice surprise. Especially the antipasti! The other guests were locals, which is a good sign, and it was correct this time.

Reviewed By Riccardo MThe place is very nice indeed. Also, very close to some of the best beaches around (karatois, Capo Passero Island, ...). It's anyway like a work in progress contruction site. Unfortunately, the room was extremely noisy. Close to the stairs (bad luck ok, but still...), and the sounds from the neighbouring room's conditioning was damn high. The shower in our bathroom made a little swimming pool outside the shower box. The air drier wasn't working at all. I'm nearly bald but my girlfriend has a lot of air! The receptionist was a pleasant note. A little lost she seemed, but still she made us some toasts at lunch since there was nothing to eat except breakfast stuff, which was an out-of-duty task. That I had to pay of course, but it was kind of her. Breakfast was average. I've found 100 euros a little to high for one night.

Within 3km you can visit the Island of the currents and the beautiful beach of Carratois .
