A great experience to see elephants
Reviewed By daveBangkokI would recommend a visit here but sadly I wouldn’t necessarily hurry back. There generally seemed a lack of customer service or enthusiasm from any of the staff. No help was given to introduce us to the hotel except for saying when breakfast and dinner was. I would have expected a more enthusiastic welcome to the park as to what we could expect to see, where we could go, could we book a tour etc. I would send the staff to the Marriott in hua hin and show them how it’s done. Seeing the elephants is definitely a beautiful experience especially from the comfort of a pool villa.

Spacious and comfortable room
Reviewed By babu-n2019We spent three nights at this hotel in December 2018. Excellent location in the town (but a bit hard to find the first time around), near the main highway; also walking distance from a convenience store and a very large supermarket. The two-bedroom suite (family room) we stayed in was large, bright and comfortable. Staff were willing to help and spoke decent English. We spent most days in Pak Thale for birdwatching - hotel was well-situated for that. On this trip we traveled from Bangkok to Kaeng Krachan, and then on to Phetchaburi (and back to Bangkok). Through this entire trip, we engaged the services of Nut for driving us around. He is a cheerful and helpful guy. Very safe driver. Helped us find a vegetarian restaurant close to J House. When we were birdwatching he would drop us off and be available for pickup. Would highly recommend contacting him at +66-85-373-0375 if you need a driver around Phetchaburi (or anywhere else nearby).

Lovely place
Reviewed By CanadiatravelgoddessSpotless rooms, tasty food and lovely service here. It's simple but lovely and would definitely stay again. Location is great if you are birding it's nothing fancy for food but very good and tasty. The rooms are very quaint it's a lovely place to stay.

Reviewed By Perry BThis was a good Hotel from which to transit further South. My friend and I enjoyed it as it featured large bedrooms with two quite spacious double beds. it was good to stretch out here after an arduous journey. In addition, the staff were pleasant.and helpful.

Good quality rooms but restaurant disappointing
Reviewed By PlymouthPete19This hotel is in a good location, close to the beach and village. There are some nice grounds to wander round and a good-sized swimming pool. Our room was clean, spacious, modern and well presented with a fridge and safe but perhaps a bit a lacking in character. The bed and pillows were very comfortable indeed. The balcony gave nice views of the garden and sea beyond.The shower was fine and the Wifi good. Birds seen around the hotel included: Red-collared Dove, Streak-eared Bulbul, Germain's Swiftlet, Black-naped Oriole, Great Myna, Asian Koel, Asian Pied Starling, Brown Shrike, Green Bee-eater, Hoopoe and Coppersmith's Barbet. Some of these were attracted to a nice flowering tree in the gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful (few of them speak much English - not a complaint - but just something to be aware of for English-speaking guests needing help with detailed arrangements). Good quality bikes were available to borrow, free of charge The restaurant was rather soulless and drinks and food rather expensive with a service charge and VAT added to bills. The food was not as good quality as the street food we had in Bangkok. However there are other places to eat a short walk away. Breakfast was ok (plenty of choice) but one morning we pre-ordered it (for an early start) without meat and the scrambled egg came with ham in it. It was however, quickly replaced. There was a noisy Karaoke in the hotel next door on our second night. We really liked the location and quality of the room at this hotel but were a little disappointed with the restaurant atmosphere, food quality and prices.

Great place to experience Phetchaburi
Reviewed By kais280The Guesthouse is well located on a quiet historic Soi near the Phetchaburi River. Clean! Quiet! Fantastic staff! The balconies are a great place to relax and hang out. Close to all the sites. Only a few private rooms with bath/shower; dorm rooms with shared bathroom available. No breakfast. Bikes a little dated, but free!

Seems to be best option in Petchaburi town
Reviewed By julians917I stayed here for two nights to visit the historical sites in Petchaburi. I enjoyed the visit because the palace on the hill is lively and worth seeing. The hotel is just adequate but I couldn’t find better. I don’t regret the stay but no need to come again. They were unable to arrange a tour of the Kaeng Krachan National park for me so I’ll save that for another visit and probably do it from Hua Hin. Calls itself a boutique hotel but must be because of this light ?. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms clean. Shower water rather hot and couldn’t adjust it. Perfect location for the cable car to the palace which I could see from my balcony.

Reviewed By wahwah2017A suitable place for travellers of any age on a budget. NOT a backpacker gettoe. 1.3 klicks from the mountain. Cool music in the shared area/restaurant near to a couple of bars and retaurants. Simple menu. A bit too family oriented for me but ...a decent option especially during the festival season when the down town hotels would be unbearable. This guest house might benefit from signage reminding guests to be quiet...just a thought. Helpful staff and management but need to up their game with more modern Tv's. Good AC and Fan.
