Reviewed By GukdigsQuaint little place perfect location right in the middle of town on the river. Food is not bad and the hotel is nice, feels like u r a part on the jungle. The workers are amazingly friendly especially betty she helped us with everything we needed during the stay. Highly recommend

Beautiful Place
Reviewed By TiggerwildeStopped off here only for lunch whilst enroute from Surat Thani to Phuket. Beautiful setting, the accommodation looked very nice as did the whole resort. Food was excellent and the setting was stunning, great place friendly staff, couldn't fault.

In the middle of the jungle
Reviewed By kerstinlarss0nThis family run hotel is located in the middle of the jungle some km from Khao sok National park entrance. In the night you hear frogs, cikadas, bats and other unidentified animals. In the morning you open the window shutters and look at the morning mist slowly dissolving as the sun warms the air. The hotel has a a small but really nice restaurant in which mother reigns. They also sells trips to the national park and we joined a full day trip to the Cheow Lan lake which worked perfectly. The next day we wanted to walk in the jungle and the supernice daughter (who did not want to sell us anything, since she had listened to our preferences) recommended that we instead took a trek by our own, which was just perfect! Overall the service is excellent, with free rides to the shop, the park, the ATM or wherever you want to go. Just ask and they arrange it, hence the remote location was no problem. There were just two thing that could have been better: The beds were not comfortable, hard and bumpy and they allowed people to smoke in the (outdoor) restaurant.

Bungalows junto a la entrada del parque nacional

Los bungalows son cómodos y tienen electricidad permanente, agua caliente e incluso aire acondicionado. Algunos están junto al río y otros repartidos por los jardines del complejo. Es un entorno bonito, para descansar y conocer la zona. Hay un restaurante que sirve desayunos, comidas y cenas. Desde el hotel organizan transfers y excursiones a la zona del lago, que merece mucho la pena (como a una hora de la entrada del parque). Desde la entrada del parque se pueden hacer dos rutas de senderismo por cuenta propia: una corta, de unos dos kilómetros, y otra más difícil, de unos 7 kilómetros por sentido, con los 2,5 primeros kilómetros por una pista fácil, amplia, y el resto por senderos.

Reviewed By Prasanna82We had an amazing time at the resort. Stayed there for 5 nights and spent our new year eve. It’s a small resort property located atop a small hillock and is accessible from the highway both through an easy flight of steps or a road to drive up. The gradient is smooth and the property has enough parking space. The rooms are very comfortable and comes with running hot water, television and air con. The mattresses are comfortable. Each room comes with a balcony overlooking a small thicket and stream below. The property is just beside the main road leading to the national park! The two main winners for this property are the amazing views and the great hosts. There is a small restaurant/coffee shop in the property and they make lip smacking lattes! If you would like to have a serene ambience, with amazing views and a cosy home feel... then don’t miss out staying here! We are sure to return back soon!

Great Stay although intransparent price schemas
Reviewed By Miro_brasilThe facilities are super clean and comfy. The young owner Ms. Mooky was always available by phone and helped as best as she could. Thanks for that. My e-mails were replied quick and complete and they helped me a lot, since I had to arrive one day later than planned. I booked a tour with the hostel for a total of 2020 baht, and the tour was great and I felt save. (1500 tour+ Nationalpark fee 300+20 + 50 for renting shoes on the lake + 150baht for a headlamp for the cave). (shoes + headlamp (-200B) are optional but kinda need it! Also here works the famous up & cross-selling concept. The tour was great and very well organised. The hostel was good to sleep and very comfy.

Reviewed By MillsmillsmillshjssjRight in the jungle and hotel fitted accordingly, khao sok is beautiful. Fully immersed in the jungle which is really cool, wildlife everywhere. Room clean enough but does have jungle feel, not luxury but nice. Head of house (maybe owner?), spoke perfect English and was very friendly and had a sense me humour, top man.

Nice secluded cabins
Reviewed By tome102I really enjoyed my recent stay at Palmview resort and would love to come back again if I should ever return to Khao Sok. The resort itself is a little further away from the main road than some of the other places, just a short ten minute walk but this does mean it's a little more peaceful, with only the sounds of the jungle around you. Just remember to bring a torch as the path put of the camp is not well lit at night. We stayed in a superior cottage and although we had an issue with our room at first this was quickly resolved by staff. We found the room very spacious with a nice bathroom and a lovely terrace to sit and enjoy the evening. The hotel restaurant was good and had a decent selection of food at reasonable prices. Overall I would definitely recommend.
