Reviewed By HnLBirchFrom the moment our family arrived at the Papaevangelou Hotel, our experience was nothing less than magical! The scenery and grounds are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with any and all amenities you might need. The hotel owner, Georgios is incredibly kind and helpful and went out of his way to help us find hikes and experiences around Papingo that our family would enjoy. Breakfast in the main house was incredible, with fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, homemade breads and cheese, meat and egg options. Wonderful coffee and friendly service too! We enjoyed walking through the town and enjoying the many restaurants and shops as well as hiking trails that abound. As Alaskans, we appreciate the mountains and were in awe of the natural beauty of the Zagori Region. We highly recommend staying at the Papaevangelou, when in Papingo! It was an unforgettable experience for our family. Thank you Georgios for making it so special…we will be back!

The atmosphere is like staying at friends, you will get lots of advice where to go and what to do and if You are unsure ask Vasilis to guide You on a tour. Regardless whether you have a special wish for breakfast or need a pickup at the end of a oneway hike - Vasilis and Anna will do everything to make it happen. We stayed in MAy 2022 for 11 nights and had a wonderfull time - hiking every day. And we will come back - for sure. Thank You very much Rosi & Thomas

A delightful stay in the midst of the Zagorian region
Reviewed By wfurmanThe Parthenon is an adorable small hotel toward the top of the steep stone village in the amazing Vikos Gorge area. It's a perfect base for hiking to Micro Papigko and for exploring Ottoman bridges and other small villages along winding roads with endless spectacular views. The area's glorious variety of trees were a blaze of fall colour in late September. The hotel's delightful proprietor is hospitable, kind, and full of good cheer; she serves bountiful breakfasts and delicious, comforting dinners--either in a charming dining room or on a patio with breathtaking views. Our cozy room looked directly out onto black Zagorian crags playing peek-a-boo with almost mystical clouds, as well as over the slate roofs of the village below. To complete the room's cozy warmth, a bride had left her bouquet on the fireplace. We loved everything about this hotel and its charming surrounding village. Driving its steep stone streets is a challenge (a four-wheel-drive vehicle would come in handy). But when we found ourselves stuck on a 60-degree grade, a friendly local spent more than a half hour laying stones and directing our Peugeot sedan out of our bind and on the way to the Pantheon. We were almost glad for the difficulty that had led us to meet yet another person of extraordinary kindness. No wonder "efharistó" (thank you!!!) is the most commonly used word in the language of this wonderful country!

Your own cottage in the mountain!. 5Korfes Guesthouse is an exclusive small, yet charming four Suite hotel, built in 2009, in Megalo Papigo. The size of each Suite varies between 65-80 m2. The two newly-built buildings are made of stone and wood using the old methods and techniques, combining the warm modern comfort with the traditional exposed stone walls, dark wooden floors and timbered ceilings. An impressive loggia with a fire place is built at the main entrance. It is a very quiet and inviting place that makes you feel very comfortable like you do in your own cottage and enjoy every moment of your staying.

We stayed for two nights in Papigko enjoying the amazing rooms with the breathtaking views of Gamilla! Clean and comfortable. And of course I cannot say enough good things about Vasilia with her bright smile, utter professionalism, and her delicious homemade breakfast! Highly recommended will stay there again and again!

Reviewed By 550renasThe Avragonio hotel in Papingo is like something from a fairytale. It is enchanted and enchanting. Composed of a series of separate houses with little squares and alleyways all full of flowering shrubs and trees it resembles a miniature mountain village and ensures not only a delightful experience fantastic vistas but also privacy. The views are spectacular, the rooms delightful, the food delightful, the owners charming. This delightful ambience design and location would normally be enough, but here at Avragonio there is more: there is the delightful couple who run the hotel - and who serve the wonderful breakfast: Nikos and Georgia Economithi: smiling, charming, open-hearted, high-spirited totally natural you feel as if you had dropped in to visit again dear friends. It is almost a pity to have to report on the delights of this remarkable place for fear that popularity though deserved may dilute its charms. But Nikos and Georgia would never allow that, and they deserve to be appreciated and honoured.

We came for one night and stayed 3. Vasilis is wonderful hosts which helped us in any matter at any time. The breakfast was nine and simple and absolutely delicious. I would recommend Ioannidis Guesthouse to everyone planning to go to Pappigo.

Reviewed By 354danavThe owner and his wife didn't know so much English but did everything they could for us to enjoy our staying. The room has everything necessary in it, plus a few extra. The view and privacy were amazing. Definitely best breakfast we ate on our trip.
