Still a beautiful place, but we had a better experience here in the past
Reviewed By 99usulWe know the hotel very well and have always spent a very nice holiday here since 2014. This year, after the Corona break in 2020, when the hotel was closed, we again had a nice and quiet two weeks. The sister hotel on the complex is always busy, but we prefer the small Club Hotel Orosei Beach in terms of size, noise and (lack of) animation. This time, however, the hotel didn't quite get the full score, which is essentially due to the price-performance ratio. To put it in a nutshell: Hotel, rooms, cleanliness, facilities, food, beach and sea are still very nice, but while the standard has decreased compared to the Thomas Cook/Sentido era 2018/19 and has settled at the level of 2014/15 (at that time already in the hands of ITI Marina), the prices know only one direction: upwards and there the air is increasingly thin. The friendly and experienced staff in the restaurant, bar and reception have unfortunately been completely replaced and only very few speak English at an acceptable level. The staff are happy to talk to the predominantly Italian guests, but give the international guests a wide berth due to their lack of language skills. They make an effort and a smile is usually always possible. One particular waiter who spreads bad vibes in the restaurant is the exception. The food is usually very good, since chef Nicola is still there. The barbecue evenings are outstanding, especially the grilled fish. Unfortunately, we only had two in a fortnight; more often would do the hotel a lot of good. The variety is unfortunately less compared to the Sentido era, but antipasti, pasta and meat & fish dishes taste good. Unfortunately, the food is only hot when it comes fresh from the kitchen. The food is replenished very quickly. Disappointing this year are the desserts. Fruit not chilled and warm. The ice cream with water crystals and dry cakes as single portions as well as creams in plastic jars. When I think of the desserts of the past... Sustainable is different. Plastic, plastic, plastic. This was banned in the past and is unfortunately celebrating a triumphant return. In a 4* hotel I find the consumption not only irresponsible, it just seems etremely cheap. Why they give out plastic spoons with ice cream/desserts, honestly no idea. It doesn't make sense. 5 tables for 120 rooms at the pool bar. One has the impression that they simply don't want to offer the (mostly Italian) all-inclusive guests a nice time/opportunity in the evening after dinner, so that very little is consumed. We were very satisfied with full board, half board would also do here. The AI surcharge for drinks would not have been worth it at all. The espresso for €1.20 and the cappuccino for €1.70 were fairly priced, a bottle of mineral water is charged 3,00 €. The mosquitoes are not a new problem, but relaxing on the balcony or on the grounds in the evening is only possible with Autan and Co. The hotel does little to nothing against this problem. The hotel's own beach and sea are close and simply a dream, the sunbeds are included from the 3rd row, there are no morning towel battles. The sea drops off steeply very quickly, you have to know that. The staff is eager and it is clear to me that they all fight over experienced staff. More foreign language skills would be appropriate in my opinion. It is clear to us that Sardinia as a trendy destination is an expensive holiday destination and it is also clear to us that after Corona, the price has been significantly increased. Almost all guests were here for a week, and we were exotic with 13 nights, which is simply also due to the price. We would have preferred a higher standard or fewer deficiencies. Basically, this is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful site, hence the 4 stars, but we are now so far that we will probably go somewhere else next year.

Reviewed By Laiza12345Breakfast is good. Nobody speaks english at receptiondesk: poverty. In addition: employee seems to have little or no pleasure in working there :-( :-(. Terrible and not done that they allow a cat (size: little dog) from other guests in the room where we ate our breakfast.

Near everything you need - a bakery with delicious focaccio and pizza, a supermarket with a large selection of products and fruits, a fish shop number 1 (the best in the region, from local wild oysters to any fish), excellent beaches with the cleanest sea 5 minutes away. The rooms are very comfortable, large enough and with a fully equipped kitchen on the terrace. There are all necessary utensils, clothes dryer, basin. The refrigerator is good, it freezes ok. We stayed both times in the room 316, a wonderful view of the wild hills with cypresses and eucalyptus trees. Delicious breakfast just 7 euros. Very attentive and friendly staff, suggested the best beaches and restaurants nearby. Many thanks to Mr. GUAN for hospitality! We come back here next year.

Dinner ruined my holiday

Dinner was a disaster, salad consisted of shredded lettuce full stop, asked for French dressing, told no, asked if I could have tomatoes, No. pasta was so salty I could not eat it. Menu was very poor main course two choices, after 4 days was told if I didn’t like choice I could have a pizza. The head waiter was very abrupt. Those were the worst meals That I ever had in any establishment anywhere.I even spoke to the cook, certainly not a chef.I spent all my working life as a chef and a number of years teaching catering, so I think that I can speak with some authority on what To expect from a meal. Note my wife does not like pizza or anything containing cheese, she was not expecting anything great, luckily we found a couple of places that did a nice tuna sandwich and chips., but you can,t have that everyday. A shame the meals spoilt a good holiday. Needless to say we won,t be back

Reviewed By ANNA PMy second experience at this hotel.... and I am ready for the third, hopefully soon. This nice hotel is situated right in the centre of Orosei. It is easy to find and has a very convenient area for parking right outside. There is also a very nice swimming pool , which makes it very special indeed. When we arrived we were told we only had 10 minutes to enjoy the swimming pool, as it was almost dinner time, and we decided to go for it, especially because it was a very hot day. We swam for a bit longer than that, but nobody complained or told us to leave, so we relaxed in the pool and, after a shower, we had dinner by the pool: just beautiful! When we went back to the room we had some problems with air conditioning, as only the fan seemed to work. We went to the reception and told them and after 5 minutes the manager offered a nice cool room, right opposite the one we had, where we were able to spend the night. What a kind thought. Thank you and well done for the service!

Uniquely European/Sardinian: enough privacy in your room and patio but a friendly vibe to the place overall make it great for friends or a couple. The restaurant alone is reason enough to come: the chef could hold his own in London, NY, or Paris but here he has Sardinian inspiration and ingredients to make a dining experience you'd be hard pressed to find in NYC. Then there's the wood-fired oven pizza: probably the best I've tasted in a 5-10 years. Pro tip: get there early, it sells out and rightfully so- delicious.

Reviewed By Eugenius58The hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Seems that the facilities are quality ones. And the rooms are well cleaned once per stay, in the beginning. Nevertheless, the hotel services are very far from 4 stars standard because they never cleaned the room during the stay, neither changed the towels, nor provided toiletries. To be honest, this disadvantage is partly compensated by the existence of the Crai supermarket just across the road. Also there is no swimming pool, even though they use a presentation picture with a swimming pool.

Reviewed By rhermawe arrived by bus from olbia and got out one station too early.it was very hot and with the suitcases NOT very easy to find the hotel.But finally we arrived at the hotel and there we were welcomed by an ANGEL as a receotionist.the next 10 days she helped us a lot and i had a lot of fun with her.she is extremly friendly, competent and informed, four stars. the hotel with the GREAT Swimmingpool was a very good choice by my son.
