dirty and low quality service

Flush toilet broken, maintenance man failed to fix the problem and hotel offered nothing in return. In both restaurants, service is terrible, not worthy of a hotel aspiring to 4*. To place an order you have to wait for ages, for food even longer. It is impossible to pass over the fact that the tartar (quite tasty) came without ordered vodka, after reminding vodka was delivered warm! A smile of a nice waitress did not compensate for moral losses. If you want to order food to your room, you have to be lucky to get someone to answer the phone. The pool is small, but nice. If you do not like crowds, you have to carefully choose swimming hours. In order not to come off as a total wimp, I will write that I appreciate the nice view of the lake. However, in a similar standard I know much better organized hotels. This one clearly can not cope with a large number of guests

Reviewed By N8671HZalexandrarThe hotel has a beautiful location and our Suite was really nice with a wonderful view over the lake. The massages there are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere in the lobby and the restaurant is far too loud and does not fit the supposed high standard of the hotel. There was a bus group, having a party until 2 am in the morning, which we could well hear from our room. The food is pretty good, but the atmosphere makes it difficult to enjoy. We would not come back.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious, the restaurant extremely clean, and the breakfast staff extremely friendly and professional.

SOME IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED
Reviewed By Danilo FIt is my second time here, and have to say that this time I have noticed some remarkable shortcoming, unfortunately for me. The interior of the room was looking aged, but still ok, and the cleaning level was good. Quite ok the essential complimentary bottle of water that any traveler like to have upon arrival. The main unacceptable point is the mattress, which in my opinion (room 124) was quite aged and in need of replacement: the main mission of any hotel is to provide rest and unfortunately I didn't sleep well, mostly for the mattress. The second point is the sound (un)proof windows: the window is provided with a double glazing unit, but it is remarkably old, and you can notice it from the steam in the IG unit; may I suggest in case of renovation the use of a new IG unit with laminated glass in the street side. Since five o' clock in the morning, I have started to feel the noise of the cars and trucks, and this was really annoying. The third point is the klima control, entrusted to an american conditioning unit looking like from the '80s, probably not really the best energy saving solution. The fourth point is the shower door is leaking water everywhere, in the restroom: the floor was completely wet, and maybe some rearranging in this point would be appreciated. The breakfast is OK, for presentaion and quality, however one might prefer larger dishes; the small diameter ones might be good for dessert, unlike for a continental breakfast. The registration and checkout procedures were swift and cordially carried out, the staff is good. If I summarize, I think that the sum I paid exceed by 33% at least the given value, therefore, inspite the good location, good staff and good breakfast, during my next stay in Olsztyn I might prefer some other place.

Very quiet Family orientated hotel
Reviewed By joo31We visited Olsztyn for a week. We wanted something bit further than center as we had car rented. To the centre takes about 20min to drive or less if not in rush hours. The hotel seems bit old but its hunting theme add into it. The family who run the bussiness is very very super friendly and polite! The hotel rooms are very clean not modern but large and comfy beds! They offer breakfasts which are enough to me. Eggs, selection of ham and cheeses, pancakes etc. They have free parking secured. Area for kids to play and trampolin. The hotel people never disturb us or been noisy. Chatty only if u ask. Othervise they respect your privacy. There is bbq and fireplace to use. Clean towels and soap. Iron and board. The room had nice flat small tv but it was ok as we hardly used. Near by is walking distance mini zoo. Worth seing if with kids. The hotel mainly have reps coming in and out and is very quiet. Also not very expensive. We would go again.

Reviewed By CathysClownThe rooms were above a winebar very close to the centre of the Old Town of Olsztyn. The rooms my cousin and I had were very nice, clean, comfortable, hers was a little on the small side. All was well until we decided to get some sleep about midnight when the loudest disco I have ever heard started up in the Revolver Rock Cafe adjoining the winebar (but no connection to it). The music (if you could call it such) was thumping through the walls until 3 or 4am and sleep was impossible. We therefore had 3 nights of sleep deprivation, it closed on the Sunday and Monday nights and thankfully we were able to catch up on our sleep. I don't know if this is a regular occurence or whether it was because there was a student festival on in Olsztyn last weekend, although most of them seemed to be out at the Uni campus. Therefore be warned! We would like to return there again for the Christmas market in December but daren't risk booking the very comfortable Provincja rooms again due to the noise that might come from next door..

Reviewed By ziggWaWThat's how I got there - I couldn't find anything else. This place is really average. I don't even mind the room wasn't huge or anything like that. It was OK and spotless. In fact cleanliness is one of the best things here. However, the room smelled tragically with some cleaning chemistry, I couldn't breathe.. and there is no air con so I had to open the window. And there was a party in the flat nearby.. all in all I slept for possibly 4 hours. Thin walls in the hotel don't help much either. in general, the location is good, rooms are very clean and the ladies from the reception are amazing. The price is quite low so perhaps you just get what you pay.. Stay if you are on a budget or really have to.
