Don’t get fooled by the location of the restaurant and its exteriors – its far away from the city centre, inside a living area of Olsztyn but the food is really worth the trip. I’m not the type writing reviews but this restaurant really deserves one – and a top one.
The food is very good, all meals done from fresh ingredients and very nicely flavoured. I was amazed by the pricing – excellent value for money.
Otherwise the service is quick despite the fact that almost all tables were busy at the time we arrived, a Friday early afternoon, we got a nice introduction of the menu and the food was exact it was described.
I have not tried any other places in Olsztyn but this one is really worth a try. Highly recommended.

Bar Dziupla

Reviewed By JellevanKralingen - Amsterdam

I rarely dislike food to the point where I really don't want to eat it. And I can't remember being in a restaurant and losing appetite after one bite. But Dziupia did it. Our food was seriously gross.
It started out very good actually. A stylish decor and a nice buzz on the Terrace looked promising. The girl at the bar was very friendly and patient with us practicing our Polish. And the beetroot-soup we got as a starter was very tasty. Unfortunately the kitchen completely botched our mains.
The medallions I ordered were....well...deep fried pieces of who-knows-what. I'm not trying to be funny, but the closest thing to actually describe what it tastes like would be 'dog food wrapped in sanding paper'. The maincourse of my dining partner was messed up to the point of hilarity. Not in the mood for meat, she ordered a soja kotlety. But somewhere behind the scenes they realized they ran out of the stuff so they took it upon themselves to serve suitable alternative: Chicken.
Yup: "We're out of soja, here is some chicken instead". In their defense, the chicken was hard to find. Actually, it was mostly schnitzel-stuff with a razor-thin piece of tasteless chicken meat somewhere in between. Lucky for us the fries and salads on the side were enough to get our belly full, so we didn't leave the restaurant hungry.
Judging from other reviews and from the people eating there on a weeknight, they probably get it right most of the time. Yet we've never had food this bad in all of Poland. If it wasn't for the friendly and patient service, a rating of 'terrible' would've been in order.

A very nice café, great service, great selection of caves, but my favourite are croissants with butter and plum jam - just perfect! They have wifi, so I spent a couple of days working here and the staff was very helpful to me, for instance when I had some problems with the connection. I always visit the place when I am in Olsztyn and need a coffee/work break :-)

The name caught my attention. I expected exclusive food and perfection.
Unfortunately my Cesar salad was very VERY simple. Ingredients fresh, crispy, good quality but dishes poorly decorated. Carpaccio served this same boring way like 15 years ago in other restaurants. Snack (after ordering food) bread and butter!? Seriously? Fish fresh and tasty. Best white wine i ever tasted. Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. Magical! Waiter friendly. Restaurant inside: very pretty Outside: average. View: beautiful.

Situated close to the castle, the Casablanca is a modern restaurant in a old building.Started with an excellent cold beetroot soup - tastes much better than it sounds, followed by a main course of mussels. Barely, resisted a dessert although the apple pie chosen by my colleagues was really good.

We tried this restaurant based on tripadvisor recommendation, second position we thought: "It must be perfect". We had the worst dinner of our life in Poland and not, I ordered a pizza and it was not "hand made", like the ones you can buy in supermarket frozen. My husband ordered the goose and it was also impossible to eat. Just to help the situation the red wine we ordered was impossible to drink, it was similar to vinegar. We tried the last chance with the cake, we ordered a waffle and what we received was AGAIN a pizza with Nutella on top. We were really astonished, for sure something was wrong that night, maybe the "chef" was at home but for sure from our side never again!

Prosta 38 Restaurant

Reviewed By Januser - Warsaw, Poland

...it would be most probably one of the best places in Olsztyn. The location of the restaurant right in the middle of the old city is perfect and the food there is really good. Unfortunately the staff seems to be on kind of permanent strike - and the customers most obviously disturb them. I've traveled quite a bit in my life and I've visited some restaurants, but I have to admit that lack of professionalism of waiters at Prosta 38 really "impressed" me... I'm just wondering where the manager is???
