Reviewed By 747rickaWe got to Secrets on the 21st around 2ish. Room wasn't ready but the resort was ready for us. Check in kinda sucked but we got to our room around 3:40ish. We were preferred club like always but preferred club pretty much nonexistent here. Here's the bottom line. This place is beautiful!! The workers bust their ass and are very friendly. We luvd Castaways. This was the only plus for being preferred club. We ate there everyday. A big shout out to Filleppe and his brother. Great people!! Oceana has some great food as well. Big shout out to Abraham as well. Great ping pong player and his water aerobics were a good workout. What a great guy! The Barefoot grill for lunch is a must. Delicious wood fire pizzas!! Sooo good!. The place is very clean and always a good time. Only had 1 bad meal. The ma hi ma hi was rubbery but that was it. Here's the cons. How does a place like Secrets run outa beer?? They have Modelo and Modelo dark on tap as well as small bottles of Corona and Victoria . They ran outa regular modelo on tap, which is what I was drinking. I can't stand the other beers. I took it up with the management. I pleaded my case and within 10 minutes, I had michelob ultra in my room as well as every bar. Ok! I can drink that. They took care of that problem for me. The room service here was prompt and outstanding. This was our 6th Stay at a Secrets resort. We loved Huatulco!!!

Reviewed By Mariela0815I literally checked out a couple hours ago and needed to write a review of how amazing the staff is in this hotel. Every single person goes above and beyond for their guest. They always offered us a water, checked in how we were doing, and helped us get a guide to visit monte alba. The hotel itself is beautiful and nicely decorated. The rooms are comfy and great. The breakfast is very good, it consist of fruits, sweet bread, and your choice of coffee/ juice. Anything additional you pay for. The location of the hotel is very centrical and close to great restaurants and city center. Overall, this hotel was amazing and the highlight was hands down the staff. They make you feel right at home and made my first trip to Oaxaca unforgettable- thank you to everyone at nanavida!!! I’ll be back soon!

A great kind of boutique cozy experience in Oaxaca. I loved that it’s profits are aimed to help children in Mexico get proper education. It literally is a hotel with a big heart.

Second time, but not the last!
Reviewed By 2candreamHaving stayed at the Quinta Bella pre-Covid, we were excited to return and see the incredible upgrades that were made to the hotel during that time. In 2019 there was only one restaurant – now there are seven. We ate at Aroma, Terraza del Mar, Otto and Marea and everything was delicious! We also had the best maracuya (passion fruit) and mezcal cocktail at the Agave bar. Rodrigo always kept us entertained and well hydrated at the pool. He and Aleli (who helped us during the reservation process) are certainly assets to the hotel. We had room 2001 which was a top floor, nearest to the beach, king room with a plunge pool. Absolutely awesome views of Chahue beach and the sunrises! I’m told that this property is the only non-all inclusive hotel directly on the beach within walking distance of La Crucecita. It’s very special and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Reviewed By handhosWe ended up staying here kind of on accident. We were in town on business and had stayed at a very small boutique property that left a bit to be desired. Anyway, we had to rearrange our flights that found us staying an additional night in Oaxaca. The previous property was already booked and I didn’t really want to go back regardless. So, we booked this property, but didn’t spend a lot of time there as our new flight was the next morning. The staff was great…very helpful at valet and helping direct to wherever we needed to go. They were also able to get us COVID testing in our room at the last minute when the tests we had brought with us didn’t work out. Very clean rooms, good A/C, big bathroom. And, the club level was also great.

Doors slam at all hours of the night, the hotel staff walks about with walkie talkies on full volume all night, and the maids come by at 8am so if you manage to fall asleep at all you get woken up. They have bright lights on the sides of the hotel so the rooms are bright all night long, bring a sleep mask.I included a photo for reference that is 2am. (I usually take Americans reviews with a grain of salt because I’m an avid traveler and have stayed at some 1star/ 2star places but my god this was a disappointment ) The hotel is not on the beach as the photos indicate(catfish), there is a beach club which is a drive away from their hotel. The beach club is nice, but they also have it open to the public so anyone can pay to go meaning chairs are impossible to find. You have to chase down service to get a drink and they will watch you like a hawk thinking you will leave without paying. There is no swim up bar. Don’t be fooled. The images of the room I booked had two beds and a balcony but they tried to put us in a single bed room and then when we asked for two beds they said sorry no balcony, it also shows on our res via booking.com we got free breakfast but we didn’t and it’s $140 pesos a person, they have a sign that says $40 but it’s for an omelet station (catfish) The hotel doesn’t not have transportation, they have a van that sits there but that’s it. You also can’t charge things to your room even though we asked if we could and they said yes. But everywhere you go they ask for the number. You can’t change out any money at the hotel and we had to schedule our COVID tests and got 3 different answers. Finally I just called the place myself and they let me know the hotel in fact did not schedule it as they said they did. They changed the WiFi on us and didn’t notify us so that wasn’t convenient either. It far from everything and I would not recommend staying here. The best part was the 2x1 happy hour and the food at the restaurant was great! Mole was to die for and the restaurant staff was WONDERFUL!

We ate at the restaurant a couple of times, and the service was top-notch and very attentive. We loved the old world charm of the property and it was very well manicured and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Reviewed By Tacos SDefinitely clean. Not overcrowded. You enjoy all the resort with no crowds. Staff is friendly. Rooms are excellent. It is far from downtown, but we enjoyed taxi traveling and talking to the driver as they always recommend places to visit and activities to do.
