B&B California is open all year round and it is run by Gennaro and his wife Lina. Just 200m from a Blue Flag Beach(with wind and kite surfing schools) in the idyllic region of Gargano National Park,Sanctuary of Padre Pio and hunting zones. My Father Gennaro has a passion for making pizza,the results are yummy. You won't be just a guest you'll be one of the family. Xxx Fiore G's Daughter

Upon arrival no courtesy and little piece of information: they forgot to tell me what time we would find our breakfast and if there would be WiFi (I'm still not sure). The room was OK, though you couldn't reach light switches from the bed (we had to move it and even then you could only reach one). The bathroom was clean but there was no towel hanger and the shower wouldn't let water out (it was fixed after a couple of days). Towels had holes (big ones) and there wasn't a shower rug. Breakfast would be one croissant and low quality little jams. It took me four days to explain to the maid I didn't want deteinated tea. She simply wouldn't understand. No yogurt/eggs/whatever. But if you go with cappuccino you'll be fine. If you have to, have a short stay.

AeR, located on the shore of Lake Lesina, just 3 km from the highway exit at Poggio Imperiale-Lesina of the A14 (Bologna-Taranto) has 2 double rooms and 3 suites including 1 accessible to persons with disabilities. It has 2 terraces, one used as a natural solarium and 1 with washbasin and clotheshorse for guests. The rooms are equipped with every comfort: private bathroom with shower, hair dryer, refrigerator, air conditioning, LED TV, WI-FI internet connection. The suites are 30 square meters and has 2 beds and 1 table with chairs. Nearby there are restaurants, pizzerias.

Reviewed By _chaseparkoMy husband and I were travelling with friends from Alberobello to Norcia and we needed a couple of places to stay along the way, to help break the journey up- this became one of our choices. The town of Lesina looked virtually like a ghost town when we stayed here in mid May. We didn't see anybody driving or walking around town as we drove in, until we got to Casale Villa Guilia. I think the whole town must have been having lunch here. The people that worked at the hotel were wonderfully friendly and the receptionist/manageress/translator was one of the happiest people you would ever meet. She was truly delightful. The corridors in this hotel were something to marvel at, deep bright colours with very interesting and huge paintings on the walls. The hotel rooms were unique, one might even say gaudy but in a very charming way! They had an 'old Italian style " look about them but they were quite comfortable. The room also had a small balcony with a little swinging seat on it. The shower was amazing, there was certainly no water saver on this shower! Breakfast was limited, but we all had the yummiest jam filled croissant that we had ever had, and some of us had 2. It was an interesting breakfast as well as cereal and those incredible croissants there was also cheesecake! I really liked Casale Villa Guilia, it's interesting but sometimes when you least expect it something uniquely different arrives.
