The suite is clean and the lake/pool view from the balcony is breathtaking and beautiful. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The pool is big and comes with jacuzzi. Jogging trail around the lake is wonderful. We utilise the gym and badminton court. Kids had wonderful time feeding the pets. Will definitely come again! Recommended to book the suite with the lake/pool view...you will not regret it.

Good location for business or leisure travellers. It is located in town close to all the restaurants and usual shopping requirements. Rooms are clean and check-in staff are relatively efficient. Swimming pool is a little small. Parking facilities are good for travellers with own automobiles.

Short getaway

Reviewed By De_Oyster

It was a nice short getaway from all the hustle n bustle. Check in was not immediate, but we were ushered to a library for tea while waiting. Staff was friendly, helpful and polite - a great plus. Food was average. We were given a large pomelo upon check in and a bottle of complimentary wine (as there was a construction going on). Loved the hottub. But water on the other tub was too cool to soak in. Property upkeep was good, clean room and the best part - no mossies.

One Bad Choice

Reviewed By Flai64

Booked this hotel because of the good reviews I'd read about it. It cost me S$52/night. Ok to be fair price is reasonable. However the rooms are tiny & very dark not having much light. Because rooms are tiny, the air con blows directly on your face as you sleep. My wife on the first night did not sleep at all due to the cold draft from the air con. Front desk service is also very disappointing. Location also not convenient. It's smacked in between auto car shops with no decent eateries nor convenience stores within walking distance. Overall for this budget we would recommend searching for another alternative.

5-star experience

Stayed at Bedrock during May Day long weekend. The minute you step into Bedrock, it feels like visiting an old friend’s home. Debbie, Mr Chong and Yee are so friendly and make us feel so welcomed. We stayed at room no 10, although the room is relatively small, we love the fact that the room has everything you need, the attention to details is amazing! The bed is super comfy and comes with 2 bolsters (you hardly see this in hotels in Asia). Room has enough power sockets which are easily located (necessity these days when you need to charge your phone and ipad), water dispenser with hot and cold options (rather than plastic water bottles), bath tub which actually comes with bath salt and Japanese toilet seat which has bidets and iron&ironing board stored neatly in the cupboard. We had to go Taiping early in the morning and Yee made sure that we have enough snacks since he said the journey can take a while, this is despite the fact that we already had a breakfast at the hotel! Debbie was very helpful in recommending us places to go and places to eat. The restaurant she recommended, turns out to be one of the best meals we had in Ipoh. Hotel location is great, there are a lot of local eateries near the hotel. Fujiwara tofufa is great! We walked to the old town a couple of times, it is an easy walk with nice murals and old shophouses along the way. The famous beansprout chicken (Lou Wong and Onn Kee) are also within walking distance from the hotel. Definitely highly recommend Bedrock!

Poor experience, would not recommend this place

Reviewed By reyvantan

For the price that I pay I could get much more. It supposed to be a mid price range hotel but you could get more else where. Can feel that the hotel should be better managed. 1. Very stiff bed with TWO very stiff pillow, it is the first hotel that I cannot sleep the whole night because the pillow was too stiff + very thick. Gave me stiff neck the next morning & ruin your day. Any hotel with experience would not give you TWO very stiff pillow, they mix 1 soft and 1 stiff pillow to cater to more people (and I search the cupboard, no other pillow) 2. I paid more for a hotel with it's own parking, but the parking was full at 8pm just because there is a function going on, was told to park after 10.30pm... 3. On 11th floor you can hear loud karaoke music from hotel ground floor (the function I supposed), that continues till almost 11pm... Who on earth would allow karaoke on ground floor lounge when it can be heard all the way up to 11th floor... I pity those that stay at lower floor. Across the road there is a food court also with loud music till 12am. 4. Cleanliness can be better, the room is not dirty but can feel it's a bit dusty 5. Expose wire next to bathroom sink 6. Though I know it is not guaranteed, it is the first time after I opt for king bed I was told because hotel is full they only have 2 single bed. Very rare for me to experience this. So in short I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. You just would get a lot more with the same price else where.

The hotel is a walking distance from the Ipoh Railway Station and one could easily identify its location as it is a high rise building. It is located nearby many places of interest. There are also many eateries nearby and a 7 Eleven store is just next door. The look of the lobby is inviting, spacious enough to relax awhile. The room is also spacious, enough space to pray for Muslims. The room has a window with the view of the city. One can also make coffee as the water dispenser for cold and hot water is available.
