The best place to go for an afternoon tea!

Reviewed By K9744AQstephens

We took my Mother here for for her 80th birthday for a delighful afternoon tea. Their etreemly talanted Chef, Chris prepared an array of mouth watering delights from an imaginative selection of finger sandwiches, his own home made sausage rolls and scones, freshly baked with jam and cream. There was a fine array of mouth watering pasisseries that were beautifully presented. Many thanks to Stephen, Chris and the staff for making this such a special and memorible occation.

Disappointing Stay

Reviewed By Rosco2112

Rooms very dated and not too clean. Electric Shower was pathetic, just a trickle. Staff member Karen in the restaurant during evening meal was very rude and unhelpful to our group on both night we stayed. She was very abrupt, with no manners or customer service, she clearly didn’t want to be doing this job and it showed. One positive was the overworked lady that served and cooked our breakfast as she was the polar opposite of Karen!! She was happy, polite and very helpful even though she was run off her feet serving front of house and cooking breakfast for everyone all on her own!!! Owners take note, this lady needs a hand. Won’t return, will find better place to stay for our party’s next visit to the north.

Enjoyable stay

We needed a "dog friendly" place to stay and this B&B didn't let us down. The Nigg suite was ideal. Lovely clean room, with settee (taken over by our two). Patio doors which allowed us to sit outside (in lovely weather!) and allow the dogs out. We ate in the bar for two nights, good fare. Breakfast was lovely too. Staff were excellent, most helpful and chatty. Thanks for our Prosecco for our anniversary..!! Very enjoyable stay.

Delny Highland Lodges

Very friendly staff

Reviewed By Girllovestotravel389

We stayed here last June when we explored the NC500 hidden away and feels like it's in the middle of no where. It is a family run business with animals on site and a lovely private loch with a small pier a short walk through the woods which is beautiful in the sunshine (where we ended up getting engaged) this can be enjoyed on rowing boats, oars are available at reception. Accommodation is a little dated but is more of a rustic charm. All utensils sheets etc provided. There is a restraunt and bar on site and a play park for families. Staff are incredibly friendly.

good location - but jesus... at least the towels and bedding was clean. Rest of the place was dirty, loud & smelt of smoke. Fights at closing time - lots of noise. Plus side, I survived the night. Booked for two nights, stayed for one. Didn't brave breakfast.

Everything was first class! The cartshed had everything we needed - for our dog too! A nice bed and bowl was supplied for him and so much freedom for him to run around. There are lots of walks on the estate for us humans too. There are nice restaurants a few miles away, for tasty dining. Staff are very friendly and helpful, if required, at the end of the phone. Hope to return!

Nightmare Stay

Reviewed By LorraineLom5

I was staying at this B&B while working in the area and it was a nightmare. It states its a B&B but the owner does not make breakfast, she leaves food out for guests to make their own. There were 4 guests staying and she left a out of date (Sept 18) loaf, a packet of bacon and 6 eggs between us. I made a complaint to my boss who took this up with the owner on my behalf and asked that an adequate amount of fresh food be left out for paying guests. On my return to the property for my 2nd night stay, the owner came to my room demanding to know why I had complained. She was very angry and advised that I was sneaky as I had gone to my boss instead of to her and she said I wasn't welcome there and would not be allowed back. I have never been treated like this by another grown woman let alone a B&B owner being paid to accommodate me. I believe speaking to a paying guest like this is very unprofessional and I would not go back if it was the last place available to rent in Invergordon. The accommodation also states that there is free wifi, this has never worked while I have stayed there, I continually got a message advising that authentication fault was present. I was too scared to ask about it after the treatment I had. Finally, when I turned the heating up, the owner turned It back down leaving me cold. I would not recommend this property to anyone and have asked my employer not to book this place for me again.
