A perfect styled English Country Hotel located at the heart of the New Forest National Park and close to major attractions and ancient forest villages. Just minutes from the village centre, Forest Park offers excellence in personal guest services, fresh prepared creative food sourced from the Forest and a unique blend or luxury and relaxation for the leisure and corporate traveller. A modern British menu provides diners with the choice of classic Inn dining, or the upscale Acorn Room Restaurant with al fresco garden dining. The Bar is renowned for its large premium selection and a focus on superb cocktails and Martinis. Built inn the 1870's and once host to Theodore Roosevelt, this historic hotel and Inn is one of the only lodgings in the Forest where the famous ponies and donkeys wander right up to the front door. The hotel is a perfect location to discover the Forest, with walking, cycling routes and the famous Rhinefield ornamental drive on the doorstep. Just a short drive are Beaulieu , Lyndhurst and Lymington, whilst for young families, Peppa Pig world is nearby.
11 out of 10 We had a few days staying here over the jubilee weekend and we were amazed. Friendly staff to us and our doggy. We have been to other places that state dog friendly .. what they mean is dog tolerant … BUT HERE at Forest park they treat your dogs as guests. From the bowls towels and bed in the rooms with biscuits to the Inn side of the restaurant. The waiters & waitresses all made a fuss and we didn’t feel uncomfortable and just wanting to eat as quickly as poss. The rooms are lovely and the food is brilliant!! The Inn is in the perfect place so you can walk straight out on to the moor land. There is a lovely garden and the service where ever you are is outstanding !! We will be back

Take all the comforts and flexibility of your home, plus the best bits of a hotel and you get room2 Southampton, the world’s first Hometel.
Very nice room, teenage child enjoyed being in the "loft" room, friendly service, the onsite pizzas were very nice. Being able to check out at 2 made a huge difference for me, especially as I overslept (bed very comfortable) and it meant I didn't have to rush around. My negative observations are minor - wi fi a bit slow and it disconnected once or twice, Could have done with a frying pan, kitchen tongs, more loo paper, more than one dishwasher tablet more than one ordinary tea bag.

This is a nice hotel, but felt it was a little overpriced compared to other hotels but guessing you pay for the garden and the history of the hotel, plus the location which is very close to the cathedral.

Set on a small, private marina with a striking ’super yacht’ style design, our critically-acclaimed flagship hotel is known for its stunning contemporary interiors, luxury facilities and outstanding customer service. Opened since 2017, it has earned Southampton’s only five-star designation to date. The 119 luxury rooms including 10 suites which all come with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, waterfall showers, Nespresso coffee machines and White Company toiletries as standard. Most rooms and suites have views over the marina, or out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
We were really looking forward to staying for 3 nights at this hotel. Unfortunately for many reasons the hotel is not worthy of a 5* We have stayed at many 5* hotels including the Ritz and the Langham in London and we expected to be greeted by a doorman at the front of the hotel, had our suitcases taken from the car to our room and the car valet parked. The website does not show the front entrance to the hotel and we had to ask someone where to go. Our Marina View suite with a large balcony was very comfortable and we were very pleased with it. The food offered in the restaurants was okay but not 5* and surprisingly there were no tablecloths, heavy badly designed utility crockery (the teaspoon wouldn't stay on the saucer) and cheap cutlery. Service in the restaurant was friendly but the staff were not trained very well, if one person had finished their meal the plate was taken before the other had finished eating. Unused cups and saucers at breakfast were collected up by placing fingers inside them and returning them to a cupboard likewise glasses. The pool was much smaller than it looked on the website and was very cold, the ladies changing room had towels placed on the floor by staff to mop up water from the showers. I told the spa receptionist the pool was too cold and after checking the temperature she agreed to contact maintenance but unfortunately it wasn't any warmer the next day.

Fab location and the usual excellent breakfast and comfortable bed. BUT still no servicing of the room during your stay. Ask for tea, coffee and milk nightly from reception and get new towels from a cleaner.

This hotel was very convenient for us to visit friends and family nearby. This was was our second stay in that last 12 months and on both occasions we found staff to be very friendly and helpful. On this second visit we stayed in the newly refurbished accommodation which is alongside the main hotel. The breakfast selection was very good for us as we don’t eat meat. We will definitely be staying here again.
