Really nice relaxing hotel and SPA
Reviewed By daankloekWe had a really nice stay at Solea. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and even when you check in you become relax. Great indoor/outdoor pool and really nice spa facilities. Also when you have to do a little bit of work the internet is fine!

Reviewed By 502petlesWe stayed for one night, but were not impressed at all. Staff is kind, but speaks no english, they made us wait in the morning for the breakfast, which was very poor, dinner was so so, had to pay additional 3€ for salad. Room was clean, but basic, shower was super small.

It has been a family run business since 1989 , the hotel is easily reachable by motorway (15 km from the S.Michele All'Adige exit). Located halfway between the Fai della Paganella village (700m) and the ski slopes (700m), the Hotel faces the Adige valley in a panoramic position and is surrounded by the breathtaking Paganella mountain summits, a short distance from the local bus stop which, during the winter season, has services that take you right up to the Paganella ski-lift facilities with over 50 km. Of ski slopes. The hotel facilities are of a high standard, where you can spend entire days relaxing; all the rooms are south facing with sun in the morning and also the evening. What else is there to say? If you are looking for a quite and elegant place, come to visit us. You will not be disappointed....
Nice people, good location, great value
Reviewed By AndCatFLThe family that owns and runs the hotel is very nice, and so is the staff in the hotel restaurant and the bar. The rooms are basic but clean and well-maintained (ours had a wonderful view). We got a very good price during mid-January for a week of skiing. The hotel restaurant provides a breakfast buffet of coffee, cereal, yogurt, rolls, tortes and cold cuts (Italians tend to eat a light breakfast) which is included in the price of the lodging. The restaurant also offers a changing limited menu every night of good quality and is reasonably priced. The village of Fai is several minutes away on foot, and has a bank, post office, grocery store, and several good restaurants, as well as bars serving bar food (useful for when the restaurants close between lunch and dinner). Fai-Andalo ski resort is a nice small mountain suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. The lift passes are very reasonably priced compared to prices in the US. The Fai ski lift is only 3 minutes away from the hotel by car, and the hotel also runs a shuttle van.

Could very easily be better
Reviewed By W KIt wouldn't take much to turn my 3 stars into 5, just a bit more service and maybe some reasonable tennis equipment. They were very poor on communications generally, so it was impossible to plan ahead -- e.g to find out also about any tours and spa treatments. They may be short-staffed or have a policy of leaving the reception unmanned at certain points of the day because when we arrived there was no one there and the phone rang unanswered. I was also unable to find out about their tennis coaching in advance, so was left disappointed when there was no one on-site, contrary to what is suggested on their website. So their three clay courts stayed empty for 99% of the time I stayed there, except when I played a set against my wife. Even then, we might have played more but the tennis racquets they loaned us were poor and the balls so old that they hardly bounced. They have three good tennis courts but what's the point? The barman was also a little grumpy, maybe because he had to serve all the drinks himself and answer queries from new arrivals when there was no one at reception. Who knows? That said, the spa is pretty good and so is the restaurant. And judging by how full the hotel was, it's clearly popular. Still, it seems to me that there is a culture of complacency about the place, which they would be well advised to address. One last thing: the shower in our room with polished floors is an accident waiting to happen. Looks lovely but is slippery.

Reviewed By henriettabrushthe whole experience was amazing, the rooms were clean, i had a balcony with stunning views, the food was excellent along with the service, staff absolutely brilliant it was my first time abroad - on a coach holiday i had truly the best time ever. would liked to have returned this year but nature had other ideas!! would of posted sooner but only just got internet. I loved the walk given by Fausto round his village and enjoyed the pizza and wine sat out in the sunshine and singing . i took the free bus to Andalo and went on the ski lift (not likely to do that again) absolutely petrified but the hot chocolate was well worth it. Stunning church for Midnight Mass. would of liked maybe a few more days there as it takes two days to get there by coach!

Sabrina, the owner, is such a warm and friendly host, she made us feel welcome every day, all the time. She adds lovely little personal touches, such as baking homemade cookies and leaving them in a box with your name on it, it feels like getting a birthday gift every day of your stay, even if it’s not your birthday :). The views are out of this world spectacular. Surrounded by mountains, it feels so peaceful and majestic. And then there is the breakfast! I don’t even know how to describe it - just WOW! Homemade marmalades, cakes baked with love, assorted cold cuts, fresh smoothies that the host makes freshly with different ingredients every day, homemade yoghurt, and all of that served in a room with a million dollar view! What a great experience! Thank you Sabrina for your hospitality!
