Reviewed By koronapetraVery nice very kind staff! The receptionist even after a long night shifs was so nice and smiling! The room was nice and clean, with a small balcony. Breakfast was okay, personally i missed the bacon:) but there were other ham options. I didn’t see alternative milk (laktose free,rise) but there was gluten free option in the pastries.

Reviewed By Thomas BGood enough breakfast, reasonable pricing and accommodating staff to large family with small children = thanks again Martina! VG is a 200 M walk close to the Patty ski school whom did an excellent job teaching our small children (5 & 3) to ski and have some fun while doing so.

Sport Hotel*** is a hotel in the heart of Slovakia. Hotel carries tradition and is know for its family atmosphere. It forms part of a long history of a village Donovaly, which has now become a well-known ski resort. Hotel offers great services, new restaurant and lobby bar area, brand new modern congress room, beautiful wellness with massages, saunas, large and small swimming pool and fitness centre. New rooms and Family Suits are ideal for families with kids. All rooms are after large reconstruction and are now equipped with new wooden furniture, Wi-Fi and TV with satellite. Our mountain hotel is an ideal place to relax for everyone who enjoys beautiful nature of Low Tatras. Our guests can make use of multifunction playground, and the largest kids playground in front of the hotel. The hotel is the first and eldest hotel in the village Donovaly. First opening dates back to 1938 after two years of intensive works. Loads of historical episodes in Slovak history have taken place here. Sport Hotel*** has been reconstructed numerous times and the last and largest reconstruction had taken place in 2015. In April 2016 we have opened the historical door of our hotel once again.

Reviewed By SkiholidaysLI have mixed views about this hotel, some aspects were excellent but others poor for example the play room for my three children aged 8, 5 and 3 along with the all day and night entertainment was excellent (has to be parent supervised). Parents can enjoy a quiet drink while kids are entertained. However, the room was very disappointing, we found a travel cot along with the two beds and so had to pinch a bed from our friends room for our 3year old which then left only a very small walkway through to our double bedroom. The bathroom was tiny and could only be accessed through the kids room. Not comfortable for a weeks stay with a family of 5 and lots of ski wear. The cleaners didn't even make the beds or change the glasses some days. On the plus side the food for the adults was on the whole very good, but the choice for children at dinner was poor, all 4 children lived on bread, rice, sweetcorn and pudding for a week! The pools were also great for the kids. It didn't help that the much bragged about kindergarten at Patty ski was closed, we still don't know why as there were a few runs open and there was snow so we had to spend more time in the hotel looking after the two smaller children.

Reviewed By branok513Zastavili sme sa na obed a po ústretovom počine zamestnancov reštaurácie sme ho aj absolvovali pri narýchlo pripravenom stole. V zariadení sú uprednostnení v čase výdaja stravy ubytovaní hostia. Denné menu divinové ragú a opekané zemiaky cez 8€... názor? Penzión nemá pre neznámych návštevníkov najšťastnejšiu polohu. Treba prejsť cez závoru a parkovisko susedného apartmánového domu, ale má vlastné parkovisko a je blízko pri lanovke na Novú Hoľu.

Reviewed By Ste_0478We spent a weekend in Donovaly area and we booked Villa Gloria mainly based on pictures and the gener positive review this place got. The facility is quite new. We chose a one bed apartment and have been given a basement apt (Apt #1). It is quite new with 1 big sofa bed (1 adult only and 2 small kids can sleep comfortably), one double bed room, a bathroom and a kitchen with all you need to cook a meal or make your own breakfast. Withing walking distance to Donovaly town centre and a 20 min walk to Donovalkovo (great place for kids) or the main cablecar which brings up to 1300mt. Suggestions for improvement: The 2 rate I have assigned to this place is not related ro the facility which is fine but to the service received and the lady at reception who the same for all our stay. Do not know if the owner or just an employee 1) missing hot water on Friday all day. We need to have a cold shower on Friday night (we have 2 small kids) because they said they had a technical problem. 5 different people gave feedback about this issue and the only statement were able to say was: "we know that. you are the 5th person who are complaining". It would have been better appreciated to infoem customer openly and onestly. Maybe thinkibg of a small gratuity for the inconvinience? 2) Building materials outside our bedroom. This is very dangerous: piece of iron sticking out the ground, construction materials and several other waste all around. (see pictures attached). To be honest I do not knoe how booking and other portals can allow this. Simple and safe solution? Invest few Eur to close and separate the construction area. 3) Missing TV on the small room. outside table with 2 wooden chairs only. We were 4 and wanted to have breakfast outside. We asked at the reception for 2 more chairs. They said tomorrow (Saturday but never arrived) Dishwasher in Apt1 does not work. We gave feedback. The lady came for inspection. Try to fix it but did not work out. In conclusion, great location. Furniture brand new and comfortable. Service, comunications to guests, and safety must be improved and prioritized.

Lampášik je iný… má svoje magické čaro. Jeho umiestnenie zaručuje objatie s prírodou spolu s nádherným výhľadom na typickú slovenskú krajinu. Je neďaleko centra Donovalov, ale prináša osobitnú atmosféru… pocit slobody. Nájdete v ňom naplnenie mnohých Vašich predstáv a potrieb počas voľného času. Je vhodný aj pre pracovné sústredenia menších skupín, ktoré potrebujú dokonalú koncentráciu pri plánovaní stratégií a potom príjemný relax v komunite, ktorú si vytvoria.
Quiet and relaxing
Reviewed By Daniel AThe location is great, in a small valley surrounded by the forest. The landscape is beautiful, very quiet and the air is fresh and clean. The rooms are nice and well furnished. The staff is great, very nice and helpful and we have no problem in using English for communication. The breakfast was very good and there is a bar available for the evenings; the hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are many options around, easily accessible by car. Being a wooden construction the soundproofing is not infallible, but overall we weren't bothered by it. As an word of advice, the entrance to the acces road is not easy to spot and it should be used with attention. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we'll like to thanks to the staff for the great service.

Reviewed By AndrewB283Really liked this hotel. All the staff were very friendly especially the lady at reception. Rooms were good and spa was great. Had a lovely staff at this hotel and will return. They were really helpful storing our luggage and allowing us to change after skiing in the spa area before we left.

The worst receptionist ever
Reviewed By mack_TriHardAfter long day trip 15+ hours we met our hotel where we wanted to stay. We came in, told our reservation and the receptionist told me i have fake ID and called police on me, then police confirmed my identitity but they still did NOT approve my stay. Its rly unacceptable.
