Reviewed By Sapna SThey did major construction all night on a Saturday without any warning or apology. I couldn't sleep. When I complained, they said it would take 2-3 hours more! The access is also terrible. Never book here!

The hotel and the rooms are very clean, you dont have any problems with water in the bathroom or something like that. There is no AC ( in our room ) but trust me, you will not need it. You are close to all shops, restaurants, coffee shops as well as trek to Triund or snowline. The Bhagsunag waterfall is about 30 minutes from this hotel. We were so happy here that we extended the accomodation (instead 3 days, we stayed all week).

Spoke to Ashish before arriving at bunker to know about places to visit & shoot and I was sent the itinerary within minutes of the call ending. From airport to bunker we were in constant touch with Nihad who helped us with the transport and made sure we were safe. Within a short hour of arriving at Bunker we were living the #bunkerlife by hiking to sunset cafe. They made us feel like their own. Being an aspiring Youtuber they made sure I had lots to cover & literally went leaps and bounds to get me my content. We were a dorm of 4 girls and we felt so safe particularly on the Christmas Eve when we had 4 men creating ruckus at the premises. They were loud (playing song when there is an artist singing) & wouldn’t respect people & had a little too much to drink. Bunker management didn’t entertain this and those 4 men were sent packing at that very moment. Special mentions : Sanjeev & kitchen staff for the best food & hot chocolate Isha & akshay- for making us feel like friends & less like guests Jai- for making sure we did those treks & Hikes & making sure we all had the best time & lived every moment of #bunkerlife When you stay at Bunker you experience Upper Dharamkot like it’s your own neighborhood and that’s something I truly feel that’s unique & something to definitely experience. Cause this is what differentiates a Traveller from tourist & hotels from hostels.

The tag line in their description says, “For us, the Priority is you.” Lol The location of the place doesn't really matter when you have the worst experience and the owner of the place is an unapologetic, arrogant and an unprofessional person. So after paying the complete amount for the room (INR 4k) for two nights, we were given a room with the most inhospitable and unhygienic condition which included the following: -Torn and dirty linen with hair on it -Mould ridden pillows with Red and yellow stains on pillow covers, -broken bed sides covered in dirt, -spider webs in all the corners, -dirty floor and dirty bathroom with used shampoo sachets lying there In event of the above, we called the owner to submit our grievance expecting that he will listen but seemed like he was used to it and was unfettered by it. Please note that we called their property manager two days before arriving to say that we will be arriving by 3 pm (their check in is at 1pm) and to make sure the room is ready and kempt, but upon reaching we were made to wait for 15-20 mins under the pretext of getting the room ready. We were given an unsanitary room in extremely unhygienic and pathetic condition. In these critical Covid times, where sanitising an Accomodation is a top priority for the hospitality sector, we were given a room with used linen having dirt and hair all over it from the previous stay. After complaining to the owner (Tarun) who was in the property at that time, he coldly and unapologetically said “rooms are in such conditions because there were guests staying in that room previously.” Wow! Talk about being hospitable. Being in the tourism and hospitality industry, you should really learn what hospitality means. I would like to see in cctv when the last time the bed sheets of the room were changed before I came. I don’t know how he runs this hostel with such an attitude and approach. It is unjustifiable to charge people if you’re offering such an abysmal place and service. The water purifier which is only on one floor was kept dismantled. This place reeks of negligence and abandonment. We were exposed to such poor sanitary conditions that my wife could not stop sneezing because of the sheer dust in the room and in the pillows. Every morning and night, being the short time we spent in the room, we were coughing and wheezing, later realising that it was due to a huge amount of dust everywhere around us. And again, it’s honestly laughable to think that the owner said “someone has stayed the night before you that is why the room is like this”. I mean, really? Is it my expectation to come to a dirty room which is kept the same way by your staff considering a previous stay? Disgusting! Business men like you should be taught a lesson that you are not doing a favor to your customers by giving them a room in any condition you want, your business is only running because we give you an opportunity to serve us. The attitude you have, doesn’t seem like you’re creating a good name for yourself in light of the experiences your customers are getting owing to your absolute negligence and nonchalant attitude. Whether a hostel or a hotel or an airbnb, the least expected standard is cleanliness and hospitality. Neither of the two was found here.

The owner mr Ashok is a very friendly person and honest..The staff Ranjit and Amit are very helpful and courteous and respectful. They make homely food. The location is very peaceful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. I have seen many properties nearby but this was most preferred. It is walking distance from all restaurants like Morgan and trek and dine 5 mins. They have private balcony and view from room very good of mountains and birds. September to October 2021.

So they know what exactly the audience wants. Mohit & Amit manage the show in an excellent way (Tanuj for kitchen). They keep on interacting with guests (and in the way taking continuous feedback on how to improve). They will personally ensure the gusts have a great time there. Overall: Location 9/10 In the back, From 2nd floor to Trek & Dine / Dharamkot market is 2 mins stairs away. In the front its the beautiful himachal mountains. Cleanliness 10/10 The surroundings, approah road, rooms, common area .. super clean and well maintained. Internet 10/10 Good high speed internet with power backup. Parking 9/10 There is sufficient place to park several cars and bikes. Food 8/10 The food was good. Must try the masala chai and thre shakshuka. But felt its slightly expensive than market average. Attitude of owners 10/10 Super friendly with an intention to help you. Amit and Mohit make effort to ensure a good experience.

By profession, I am a software engineer, and as i belong from the mountains I am a professional trekker too. I love doing adventuring activities like trekking, hiking and paragliding. Furthermore, I am also running a cafe at the midpoint of triund mountain trail, The cafe is know as magic view.

Reviewed By skrelentlessBeautiful, Quiet and Serene place in the heart of Dharamkot. Rooms are clean and spacious. Attached kitchen is a great bonus. Fast boradband WIFI is perfect for work. A huge front porch overlooking a beautiful garden is great for chilling under the sun or do Yoga. A huge balcony on the first floor with great views all around. The owner is a great person and very helpful. I highly recommend this place.
