Reviewed By Perry BAlthough we had liked the other one we stayed in for a night prior to moving on down to Hua Hin, the Malkaew that we stayed at upon our return was definitely superior and the best option in town. The pools were luxurious as were the cabanas to stay in. Front Desk staff were also lovely.

Great Hostel
Reviewed By Krittima WVery nice and clean Hostel. The one bed room was huge for its price. Very good coffee downstairs. I really love the coffee there. We could also rent a motorcycle from the hostel and they give you 2 helmet. They staffs were friendly and helpful except the lady from the night shift. She couldn't speak any English. The other staff should give her more training. Too bad they don't allow you to do late check out. Overall I would stay there again and also go there for good coffee.

Reviewed By Han LWe are a family of 5 adults and decided to travel direction Damnoen Floating market from Bangkok the evening before instead of leaving in the very early morning. You should visit the market in the early hours. We arrived late and did not have dinner yet. The extremely friendly staff helped us out, looked for a local restaurant and drove us forth and back to the restaurant. A natural friendliness with best effort to communicate in English.

Un charmant hôtel qui nous a entièrement comblés
Reviewed By jeduwebNous y avons dormi trois nuits soit celles des 16, 17 et 18 février 2018. Nous avons décidé de nous y rendre directement et avons ainsi économisé beaucoup en payant 600 baht la nuit pour notre chambre D-5 qui selon nous était affichée à environ 775 baht sur Booking et Expedia. Nous avons fait la demande pour une chambre près de l’eau avec les bateaux qui y passent et nous l’avons eue au même tarif que celle qui nous fut proposée en premier lieu au deuxième étage et qui était correcte mais plus étouffante et plus sombre avec une grande terrasse adonnant sur le stationnement. Il y a aussi des chambres en face de nous de l’autre côté de l’eau mais qui sont de style bunker et très basique. Nous nous considérons privilégiés d’avoir obtenu cette belle chambre pour ce prix dans cette petite ville qui est en fait touristique à cause du marché flottant et du village des éléphants. Les nombreux touristes y passent exclusivement pour ces deux raisons et retournent à Bangkok en bus. Nous avons décidé de ne pas faire ces deux attractions car nous préférons voyager autrement et découvrir le pays parmi le peuple. Nous croyons être les seuls touristes à y avoir dormi du moins dans la zone où nous sommes situés à quelques pas du village des éléphants. La partie de la ville avec son marché près du terminus est moins invitante et plus hostile selon nos observations quand nous y sommes allés hier après-midi. Le minibus venant du Southern bus terminal, SC Plaza de Bangkok, nous a débarqués au terminus de Damnoen Sudoak et un Tuk-Tuk nous amena ici pour 100 baht. Ce qui selon nous est trop cher car la distance n’est pas très longue pour se rendre ici. Enfin c’est ainsi quand on n’est pas Thaï faut croire et qu’on débarque en ville la première fois. Faites vous débarquer au CJ Express et vous pourrez marcher jusqu’à l’hôtel. Maintenant que nous le savons, nous pouvons transmettre l’information pour d’autres voyageurs. Traversez de l’autre côté du boulevard au feu de circulation, tournez à droite et empruntez la première rue sur la gauche et marchez un peu. L’hôtel est dans la courbe pas loin. Nous avons été reçus comme Reine et Roi avec le sourire et une convivialité exemplaire par le personnel féminin en place. Vous devrez vous débrouiller comme nous en mimant et avec le langage des mains et du corps si vous ne parlez pas aucun mot en Thaï car personne ne parle anglais sauf Nan qui parle un peu si elle est présente. Elle nous a dit s’appeler Nancy qui est sûrement un pseudonyme pour faciliter la communication. Le signal wifi dans la chambre D-5 et sur le grand balcon est moyen mais amplement suffisant pour les besoins que nous avions. Nous avons pu communiquer avec notre fils sur Skype et aussi ouvrir nos courriels et faire des recherches sur internet. Nous avions un ventilateur et l’air conditionné. Le lit double est dur ainsi que les oreillers mais ce fut correct pour trois nuits. La chambre est très grande. Il y a plusieurs canaux de télévision mais avec des films et émissions de qualité inférieure avec quelques canaux en anglais. Une grande salle de bain où nous avons pu facilement laver du linge avec une douche et de l’eau chaude si désirée. Nous pouvions ajuster la température de l’eau à notre guise. Les trois nuits furent silencieuses mais un coq commençait à turluter vers 5h mais assez discrètement quand même. Nous avons fait la demande pour une bouilloire, deux tasses avec cuillères et de quoi pour pouvoir connecter mon portable avec un adaptateur à trois trous car ce n’était que des prises à deux trous dans la chambre. Tout nous fut rapidement fourni avec une grande amabilité, ce que nous avons grandement apprécié car nous avions du café instantané avec nous. Vous devez noter que c’est extrêmement bruyant dès environ 6h30 avec les bateaux à moteur retentissant qui passent à répétition devant notre chambre avec les meutes de touristes à caméra. Pour nous toutefois, ce fut un immense plaisir et nous avons pris plusieurs photos de ces moments uniques et typiques de cette ville. Vaut mieux vous dire que les canaux sont sales et pollués à l’extrême et que c’est difficile à accepter pour nous en tant que touristes surtout si la protection de la nature vous tient à cœur comme nous. Nous avons adoré notre chambre joliment meublé avec goût. Vous pouvez vous rendre en ville par le trottoir de ciment longeant le canal et emprunter le petit pont qui vous mène vers le feu de circulation et le CJ Express ce qui est agréable avec l’animation matinale. Nous choisirons quelques photos que nous ajouterons ultérieurement avec notre avis. Nous sommes heureux de vous recommander fortement cet hötel. Our guest rooms are private. Our patio connects directly to the raised walkway that runs the length of the canal. You can walk along the canal and see how people live along the water. We also have steps down to the water level for access to taxis and sellers bringing food and other things directly to our place everyday. Guests have full access to garden, waterfront deck, dining area, TV and living room area.

Pat runs a wonderful B&B and goes out of her way to ensure you enjoy your experience.We met the neighbors, bought delicious coconut ice cream from a boat on the Klong and even enjoyed our dinner that was locally cooked and sold from a boat. we were able to be taken by boat to the floating market without being in the crowds and could sit on the beautiful deck beside the Klong just watching everyday life going on. walked along the Klong into the town. everything very accessable and good advice from Pat. Highly recommended

Reviewed By SPEAK32We paid 2500 baht per night for the house. We stayed for 2 nights. There were 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen. The house was located in a big land area. It's nice and quiet. The reason we chose there was near to our friend's wedding reception. The house was decorated in vintage style. It was nice. However, the house was not clean when we got there. I had to mop several times as the water was so dirty when I washed the mop. there were Geckos' (or some other animals) poops every where around the house. The strain of water mark on the floor in the living room. We got there around 5pm. We turned air conditioners on in every room as the house was so hot. Only front bedroom of the house was cold but the other two bedrooms didn't get cool until midnight. we had to turn on the fan when we went to bed. There were some cockroaches dead on the floor and dust over the toilets. We told the owner and she said she just cleaned the house on the day we arrived. She didn't do anything with it. She got someone to look at the air-conditioners. It was cooler then but the next day there was some water leaking out from the wall in the bedroom next to the kitchen. Again, both of the rooms were cool enough in the day time. Furthermore, the kitchen appliances' plugs weren't compatible with plugs provided in the kitchen. We had to ask for an adapter. The light in hallway to the kitchen wasn't working.The second night, it was raining really hard. The water came in the house in the living room and the front bedroom. My husband almost slipped.
