Second time, but not the last!
Reviewed By 2candreamHaving stayed at the Quinta Bella pre-Covid, we were excited to return and see the incredible upgrades that were made to the hotel during that time. In 2019 there was only one restaurant – now there are seven. We ate at Aroma, Terraza del Mar, Otto and Marea and everything was delicious! We also had the best maracuya (passion fruit) and mezcal cocktail at the Agave bar. Rodrigo always kept us entertained and well hydrated at the pool. He and Aleli (who helped us during the reservation process) are certainly assets to the hotel. We had room 2001 which was a top floor, nearest to the beach, king room with a plunge pool. Absolutely awesome views of Chahue beach and the sunrises! I’m told that this property is the only non-all inclusive hotel directly on the beach within walking distance of La Crucecita. It’s very special and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Very comfortable, but watch your valuables!

Our only problem was that the safe didn't work, and despite two complaints, and the staff saying it was fixed, it never worked. I had several pieces of jewelry ($125.00 USD) go missing from the room. Apparently, you can't trust the housekeeping staff, so I recommend insisting that the safe works, and use it! I downgraded the rating by two stars, because I find stealing unacceptable. Too bad, as it was ,otherwise, enjoyable. Conveniently located for the beach and there is a supermarket very close. AC worked well and the pool was refreshing. Lots of families stay here so the pool is busy, especially in the evening. Our room was right above the pool, so it quieted down after 10:00 pm. We mostly swam at siesta time and often had the pool to ourselves. The pool and courtyard are shaded in the afternoon, making it very pleasant. You can take a taxi to the plaza in La Crucesitas or to Santa Cruz for a flat rate that is very reasonable.

Reviewed By davesandy2016We visited this restaurant during our stay in Feb 2020. The Posada Santa Clara turned into our favorite eatery as we kept coming back to it and never got disappointed. The food is world class and the service beyond comparison. The owners always greeted us kindly and our 2 regular waitresses (Marbella and Evelyn) went out of their way to make sure that we were well fed and happy. We are a gluten free family and were very grateful for the great lengths the staff went to prepare food that was free of gluten. So many traditional dishes to choose from, all exquisite but if you decide to splurge ask for the clay chicken (needs to be ordered ahead of time so phone ahead). It was one of the best chicken dishes we have ever eaten, juicy, flavorful and a real treat.

Terrible service
Reviewed By LJkochDisappointed with our stay at this hotel. It is true that view of Santa Cruz Huatulco is amazing, but really ends there. Pool area is portly kept and my girlfriend actually stepped on a piece of broken glass poolside. The beach is not a beach but a poorly kept area accompanied by rocks. No beach to be found. I would not advise climbing down the stairs. We didn’t spend a lot of time at hotel, but when we did the staff seemed disinterested in any of our needs. Even for assistance to call a taxi seemed to be inconvenient. The service is non existent as well. We had a problem with our TV and after waiting to have someone finally come to the room they were unable to get tv working. A second person arrived and got the TV working. Then insulted us by implying that we wasted his time with a problem that wasn’t a problem. Rooms are spartan and things like linens are well past time to be replaced. White towels were blue, covered in ink or something else. There are many great hotels in Huatulco. Don’t believe the photos and stay somewhere else.

Reviewed By edwardh127Update**** Contacted Air Canada and was offered a refund of $84.93 Canadian each for 3 people and were told it is a "travel credit per person which represents 100% of the hotel portion of your package, applicable towards any Air Canada Vacations’ holiday package including air and another component offered in Air Canada Vacations’". Rooms at this hotel go from between $179-$383 Canadian based on a standard room. Doesn't seem to add up. Very disappointed in Air Canada who usually does well with customer relations. I will be very hesitant to book with them again.

Reviewed By ceciliasanchezgardunwe stayed for several days, room was always cleaned well, I liked they offer to change sheets and towels only if you request during your stay- we congratulate all hotels with this sustainable practice. staff always helpful. We had a very good price for being low season. Only thing I would suggest is to have a station with FILTERED water to enable guests to re-fill their bottles. adds a lot for sustainability as well.
