Novotel Chumphon Resort is a 4 star hotel on Parandonpab Beach, 15 km south of Chumphon town. A perfect place for a family holiday or stop off during the trip to southern Thailand. The resort is easily accessible by road and rail and one hour by boat from Koh Tao. 9 holes-golf course attached with the resort offering 86 rooms, excellent meeting facilities and two restaurants serving an array of local seafood and international cuisine. Guests enjoy direct beach access and walking along the seaside of the Gulf of Siam.

Reviewed By Doris LLousy hotel! I don’t feel like I am staying in a 4 star hotel in Thailand! Wear & tear seriously! Service poor from Front desk to restaurant (except one choppy lady *excuse me to describe her in this way as the worse one is thin* in Restaurant is good but forgot to check the name though) Definitely not worth to what I paid! As they are close to the pier to Koh Tao and the hotel near the pier is full! Otherwise, don’t book! Definitely it is not Novotel standard! I have never write a review like this but really want to remind those who plan to stay a night in Chumphon before departing to Koh Tao

We didn't stay long enough to fully enjoy the setting but found the room quite adequate with good air conditioning, a comfortable bed and a watchable tv system. The breakfast was also very good with a reasonable selection of local and European fares. Will definitely return.

Reviewed By juergenp1957several times we have overnighted there during our trips to Ko Tao, Ko Phanghan etc - its ideal as it offers a cheap, very clean hotel and they even book for you the ferry to the island - we will always stay there when we overnight in chumphon

Good for short stay
Reviewed By StaffieLancsThis hotel is certainly different. We stayed in a second floor pool view room which had a double bed in it and a small bathroom with a good shower. The air conditioning was good but the room was snug and I would not like to try one without a window. The bed was of the harder type and the paintwork etc in the room/bathroom was showing signs of wear which you would expect with a container after so long. A fridge and water were provided but no kettle etc. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. There was a good coffee machine at breakfast where you could choose several options including hot chocolate and the staff made us fried egg and toast with offer of sausage which we declined. The retro box is conveniently situated but is quite noisy as any sound seems to echo round it especially at night. It is definitely worth a visit for a short stay and is cheap and cheerful. There are no lifts so you have to carry your bags upstairs which may not suit some people but the hotel is worth the price you pay. There was no safe in the room for valuables however.

Amazing villa in a peaceful location
Reviewed By SavvySubTravelsWe really enjoyed our stay at Villa Varich. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They looked after us really well and accommodated our needs generously. The villa itself was amazing to stay at. The location was quiet and full of nature. There is a common area for dining and coffee. There is also a river behind the villas where you can enjoy kayaking, which is included in the price of the stay. You can borrow bikes to roam through the local areas, which is also included in the price. There are a few complimentary snacks when checking-in and they can be topped up whenever you need. The villa was cleaned by the staff really well on every day that we needed it. Overall this is a lovely getaway in a rural area where you will be alone with nature. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

This place is absolutely perfect for one-night staying before your departure from Lomprayah Pier and after coming back to the pier.

Great for a Stopover
Reviewed By r2thebizelPerfect for a stopover. The food is good although a little limited, staff are lovely and the hotel is decorated out with vintage style rustic goodies. The rooms are well furnished, the bed may not be for some but had a good night’s sleep and generally has a nice feel.

Magical resort in the Thai Jungle, highly recommended
Reviewed By ASEvans22I spent a month living at Ecologic as Karma Yogi, it was a phenomenal four weeks where I felt welcomed by the team and took part in the fantastic work that they do through the Thai Child Development Foundation to support local children with learning difficulties. The yoga shala is so beautiful and it was a privilege to teach the guests during my stay, offering morning Hatha Flow and evening Yin Yoga lessons for all levels. The whole resort is so thoughtfully designed and in keeping with the natural environment, offering quiet places to relax in nature from where you can observe the impressive varieties of plant and animals species. The bedrooms are all beautiful, I was staying in the dormitory from where I could see the river and jungle beyond - it was a magic spot. The kitchen team are fantastic offering delicious, varied meals which make use of the organic produce from the Ecologic farm. The resort also offers a whole range of different activities for guests who want to rest and restore or for those who are looking for adventure and outdoor pursuits. I can't recommend this place highly enough, book your stay now!

First time staying
Reviewed By wewong366Had a great time staying at this hotel. A little far from town but the beach was just across a street. Staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable and there were ample pillows plus bolsters. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it was spacious. Breakfast was ok. But too many flies flying around the bread and salad was a little off putting. Other than that, everything else was fine. They even helped us when we needed to order some snacks, and also assisted in the booking of our snorkeling tour. Overall, very enjoyable stay.
