It's approx 110 kms away from Chandigarh. Chakrata is heaven on earth & so does Sidus Galaxy, truly complementing the natural beauty of Chakrata. A must go resort....

Munaals nest is situated at 5 km distance from the main market of Chakrata, surrounded by beautiful mountains & dense forest of cedar trees. The small tributary of river Yamuna flows right across the property which makes a totally meditative atmosphere , with limited occupancy we try to build a customer oriented environment.

Reviewed By Voyager575510Munaal's Nest at Chakrata was an end minute mountain pick on a long weekend. We got lucky. Away from the post-covid mayhem of the regular hill stations, Chakrata, 2-3 hours from Dehradun, is still mostly untouched as it falls under the tribal belt. It is also known for its military cantonment base. We chose Munaal's Nest as it was pet friendly and we were traveling with a lab. It is a small highway side property with modern fitted rooms and warm hospitality. Ashish, the owner/manager, goes out of his way to ensure guests have a great experience. He ensured all our needs were met including special requests for the dog and helping us plan hikes. The room was modern and clean with hot water. The food by chef Narain was delicious and the servings were generous at reasonable prices. The serving guy, Mukesh, was always polite and prompt. There were other pet guests at the time and we were impressed by the staffs' friendly treatment to the furry guests.

Rooms: Neat and clean room with all the necessary amenities. Wi-fi: Good speed. You can actually plan an workcation here. Food: Home cooked simple and tasty food. We loved the parathas, mutton Rogan josh, dal makhni..in short everything we ordered. Cafe: Loved the decor. Attitude:+1 for Kanishk. He is an amazing host. He also helped us with booking our local tour & drop to Dehradun. Right from the booking, Kanishk & staff were super helpful and accommodating and ensured our trip went smoothly. Loved the view, the café food and spending time in the common area.

The Lodge is nestled in a valley with a spectacular view of the Doon Valley with views stretching as far as Dehradun and Mussoorie. This camp is located at an altitude of 1850 m (6100 ft) and this ensures a cool and comfortable climate all year round. The Lodge is located in Uttarakhand state and is easily approachable from Delhi (8 hrs drive) or is just a short 2 hr drive from Dehradun. With minimum inhabitation all around this is a quiet getaway for anyone looking to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of urban life. A spectacular view of the snow clad Himalayan peaks from just a 5 min walk from the camp. A short drive from the Lodge gets you to Chakrata town which has been an army cantonment from the British times. Surrounded by thick forest, this town is an ideal place to spend time exploring. From Chakrata one can go on a downhill walk (2 hrs) to the Tiger Falls (the biggest waterfall in this area) and spend a couple of hours here in the pool that is formed below the Falls. For those looking for more adrenalin pumping activities, there is the rafting on the Yamuna that is a 45-min drive from the camp.

Reviewed By bez_manavBeen there last week. What a place to be. We took the valley facing room second layer. The aesthetics and integration of plants, flowers are wonderful. We enjoyed every bit of it, he 30 km route to Viratkhai. However, the 500 mtr access to the property is little challenging. The staff helped us to get there. If you like quite place, abundance of nature, No light pollution, No sound pollution. Then Consider this place as your right fit. Dont expect luxury.

Reviewed By mittalshelly10Property is situated at one of the best scenic point. That's it. Its a very badly managed property. Rooms were not clean, Washroom was stinking. They were understaffed probably they were not prepared to handle so many guests after lockdown. Rahul is a very good manager, he cooked really good food but cuz there was not much help available he was alone working in the kitchen, cleaning rooms and looking after bonfire etc. etc. Overall if you are going at the peak time do not expect a lot! The only relief is it is situated at a good location so you can have a good view of the nature away from the city!

Reviewed By Jas2uEven after paying 3000, 4 days in advance (selfish owner still demanded to pay within 1 hour), our experience was extremely bad and worse we had in whole life. Unlike online pictures, the room was very small, dirty floor & walls, torn apart roof (lucky it didn't rain), broken electric switches, broken window, litter everywhere outside, and toilet was very smelly. Toilet smell was so bad that we had to shut the toilet door and leave the tiny room's doors & windows open in order to sleep at night. Bed was dirty, mattress covers was torn apart, furniture broken & stinky. Staff had less manners, staring at visitors all the time as if we were aliens. Lucky, we took our own bedsheets, blankets, & pillows. Around 500m narrow way to hotel is unsafe. We didnt buy their expensive food as we were very unhappy. Outsiders are treated like cash cows by such hotel owners as if money grows on trees. If possible, we would give this place a 0 star. Also, Chakrata is dirty, & has nothing except tiger fall. Ramtel garden was a joke. Most good reviews for this hotel are from known or paid people. Lesson learnt: Never trust a pahadi businessman, they are greedy & deceitful as hell.

Nothing fancy in menu(basic homemade food)They have breakfast and dinner inclusive in the plan. We were 5 adults and 3 kids Pro- near to nature Green lush property Good Room service Homemade food Plenty of area to play Con- Food can have more area to work clean room service- can see spider and insects here and there (need to ask them to clean the room many times) They have indoor games but No maintenance at all, in very bad shade Not a very huge property(the porch area is common)
