10 hotels in Central Poland: Best hotel deals for 2023

August 11, 2022 Dorsey Hagwood

Home to the nation’s capital and biggest city of Warsaw, Central Poland is the entry point for most travelers who arrive in the country by air. Industrial Lodz, the second biggest city, is here too, almost exactly at the country’s middle. Poznan and Torun are also popular with tourists, each boasting very pretty Old Town areas. Kampinos National Park, Poland’s second-largest, covers about 150 square miles. It's within easy reach of Warsaw and is a great site for hiking, cycling and skiing.

So far I must've stayed at this hotel about 15 times since 2015, staying in every room type except the Presidential Suite, and every single stay has been amazing. The rooms have been renovated in the past few years so everything feels brand new. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet is very large and has excellent variety, the room service is spot on, and the bartenders know how to make a great cocktail! The pool is usually quite calm and has the perfect temperature. Just a heads-up: don't wear the bathroom slippers when going to the pool, because the wooden floor gets extremely slippery if you walk on it with the slippers - this is about the only "negative" thing about the hotel that I can think of. The hotel is located in the city center, close to both the old city and the more modern parts of Warsaw making it easy to go anywhere you please.

Solid choice

Spent 3 nights at this Intercontinental, and it is a solid choice with consistent standards. Price point. Okay for level of hotel Pluses: o nice gym with great views. o room size and views were good if you get a room overlooking the monolithic Soviet Gothic skyscraper. o One of the best Breakfast in any hotel I have stayed at. o great location. Next to everything Negatives: o parking is WAY overpriced. 100 euros for 3 days. o toiletteries in the room need to be more luxury and less budget style. o restaurants are over priced. o gym hours need to be 5 am until midnight. Opening at 7am is too late for business travelers

Uninspiring sleep factory

Reviewed By Rod B

The lobby was crowded and noisier than a train station , I could barely hear what the receptionist was telling me. I eventually progressed on the conveyor belt of this room night factory to enter a room reminiscent of the 1990s uninspired standardisation period. The bathroom is small, with an obsolete bathtub that reminded me of my childhood and completed by a real faux granite plastic moulded basin and dull grey tiles walls. The shower holder doesn't stay in place and keeps sliding down, ideal for children and midgets, not so much for adults. The room is ok ish, missing a few things like power outlets neat the bed. Overall, I would only recommend it if you are interested in 20th century hyper standardised hospitality.

Hampton By Hilton Poznan Old Town

Luxury hotel in downtown Poznan

Reviewed By aclassen

Very pleasant experience in this elegant hotel, tugged in a neighborhood near the center (ca. 10 minutes to the old city hall). Lobby fairly large, with entrances east and west. Room very well done, nothing missing, except a fridge or a microwave; but you don't need this at all; there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Bed very nice, bathroom elegant and excellent. Breakfast was great, no complaints whatsoever. Bravo.
