A Decent Place To Stay Close to the Beach in Carrara

The rooms are clean and modern with free wi fi, and the hotel is reasonably priced, though not lavish. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a short walk from here to good restaurants and a nice, sandy beach, though a further distance to downtown Carrara. The breakfast is very good, in a nice, airy facility with very helpful employees. We would stay here again. Again, the Tenda Rossa is clean, modern, well located for the beach, and reasonably priced.

The room was large with everything you could want the bathroom small but hooks for towels and room for washbags etc. Lovely garden and the Signora was delightful, she recommended restaurants and bars for the evening, Breakfast was good but a little cramped as she was full, homemade cakes and she catered well for one of our party who is gluten free.

First of all, it’s located 5 mom from the beach and many restaurants from which you can choose the place is super clean and quiet. The room is fully equipped with all you need (hairdryer, minibar, AC, soaps)and the bed is super comfy. In the morning for your breakfast, you can choose from a variety of fresh pastries, ham, cheese and many more things. Coffe is super tasty and you can also have a choice of non-dairy milk if you’re intolerant. It’s a family run business so the atmosphere is just so welcoming and relaxing, they have been amazing with us, helping with suggestions of places where to eat and where to rent beach beds. Honestly, this is the best place you could go in Marina di Carrara without a doubt! Highly recommend it!

Parcheggio , giardino , il bb è immerso nel verde della collina e comunque vicino al centro. Camere belle e accoglienti , modernamente arredate . Pulizia. Colazione adeguata. È gestito dal proprietario che poi ci ha accompagnato in una bellissima visita alle cave di marmo a bordo dei loro fuoristrada ( eravamo 12 persone ),escursione durata tutta la mattina dove ci è stato illustrato sul posto come si estrae e si lavora e si trasporta e si trasportava il marmo fin dall’epoca romana. Bellissima esperienza.

In the hart of the ancient town it has a good position near bar, restaurant and the turistic attractions. The bedroom il big and also the bathroom; mrs Silvia is very very kind, she tries to make you feel at home!

Newly renovated to modern standards, everything clean, comfy rooms with air conditioning, tv, GORGEOUS marble bathroom with shower, terrace/balcony. Friendly staff who helped us with information about the strike on transport the day we were due to fly home, looked on the internet for us and found out, called our room to let us know the information. Lovely and polite people. Breakfast is continental, being British it wasn’t our thing to have meats,bread etc. In the morning, but what we had was very nice. Hotel offers umbrellas which was useful on one of the last days as there was a storm ⛈. Room cleaned every day to excellent standards. Also, the hotel offers wifi. It is close to the centre where you can find a church, lots of cafes and restaurants and a dome fountain. Avenza station accessible by bus, we travelled to Pisa and Florence, trains are lovely and clean. The marble mountains here are just magnificent, we had previously visited with family and if you get the opportunity you MUST do a tour, I’ll include some pictures of the mountains and Carrara. All in all, we Would recommend and stay here again.

Reviewed By MkemullinsAn absolutely fabulous place owned and operated by fantastic folks. Accommodating doesn’t begin to describe the service and hospitality of this place. I felt relaxed and welcome from the very first moment. Tranquil gardens to enjoy your favorite book as well as a variety of books to choose from in the little library. I got a chance to stay in two rooms during my extended stay and both were great. I’d suggest the “Terrace” room though. Mainly because it’s on the 3rd floor and has a great view of the garden and the mountains surrounding Carrara. Margherita was an absolute angel with lots of helpful information on the area and suggestions for tours available.

Classy, Clean, Well-organized and Welcoming
Reviewed By wouterh812I spent a total of three nights here while exploring this part of Italy by bike. I had my reservations about booking at first, because I’m used to seeking accommodation in youth hostels, but if the money is not an issue I am convinced this place will give you bang for your buck and then some. Let me first talk about the room I stayed in itself. This was very comfortable; a large and comfy bed, comfy chairs, a bathtub, bathrobes, hairdryer, airconditioning, and television are all provided in the room itself. The remotes were wrapped in plastic to make it extra clean and corona-safe, which came on top of the already impressive cleanliness in the rest of the room. Additionally , I loved having a view of the surrounding mountains from my window. Other than the room itself, this B&B provides a kitchen/dining room you can use (with complementary fruits/snacks/bread/drinks), and a garage in case you cone by car or bike or motorcycle (or heck, even your skateboard could go there if you just ask for it). The location is wonderfully central in the old town of Carrara, not even a minute’s walk away from the beautiful Piazza Alberica one way, and an Esselunga supermarket the other. It’s not fat towards the surrounding mountains and marble quarries. I suppose for tourists who visit this region in the summer just for the beaches, options that are closer to the beaches are also available, but for people looking for a calm and beautiful private place to relax, this is a great option. Lastly I should give my compliments to the host, who has been friendly, hospitable, helpful, attentive, easy to reach and communicate with, and as a bonus quite good at speaking english. I will remember this place fondly, partially thanks to him.
