Reviewed By 16-BitFlashStopping in Benevento for one night on my way travelling up Italy, I found myself in the Hotel Villa Traiano. Instantly taken with its old fashioned grandeur, I was met by some lovely staff and guided to my clean, very sizeable room that boasted a television, wardrobe, desk and decent sized bathroom, albeit the shower was a bit on the snug side. The room had various quirks that had clearly one been cutting edge such as a radio built into the wall, but personally I think stuff like that adds character, particularly given the aesthetic is mainly traditional. The location genuinely couldn’t be any better, or so it seemed. Located right on the edge of the city centre, acting as a perfect stopping point between the train station and everything you’d want to see. When travelling without car this type of detail is often overlooked. So why the doubt? And why the low score? Well to be honest this place was angling for a score between 4 and 5 out of 5, until I got in on Saturday night, and realised that my room was right above something resembling a nightclub or party venue, which played music LOUD. Truth be told I’m part intrigued by this place, which had a glass ceiling and actually looked really nice, almost wedding venue-style, but that didn’t really help me sleep. It’s a shame because this otherwise took the shine off of what was actually a really nice hotel. If that was some sort of one off party you can disregard this gripe, but if it’s a regular thing I’d be hesitant if you’re looking for a quiet night at the weekend

Il posto è una chicca, curato in ogni dettaglio, posizionato a due passi dal centro e a ridosso del teatro romano ma ciò che lo rende speciale è la cura e la passione che il proprietario Marco mette nel gestire il suo b&b facendo sentire i suoi clienti (amici) come a casa. Ci ha "coccolati" come pochi sanno fare. Tutto ciò dovrebbe essere di esempio a tanti hotel stellati. Consigliatissimo.

Very spacious, comfortable and silent rooms amidst insufficient lightings. Over cherishing their new wall tiles results in an impractical bathroom without any fixture to place soap or hang towels. The reception area, located on the second floor is badly lighted and felt unwelcoming. It’s a grim, dark and not a happy place to stay

Good hospitality and communications with the owners, great location just few minutes from town center and easy access to highway. For breakfast you get coffee, jam, soft drink, milkm, croissants (so its more of a "continental breakfast"). Unit has a kitchen and small dining area inside the kitchen.

Reviewed By jim bwe are return customers....cant believe i didnt leave a review before now just over the bridge, heading up the hill to the old part of town, this hotel is perfectly situated, especially for walkers (plenty of parking for any one with a car) rooms are good sized, clean, and comfortable good breakfast and excellent housekkeeping there is also a restaurant at the location too we didnt eat there this visit but have eaten there in the past.... very good food and excellent meats of all sorts, btw

Reviewed By John SSo decided to take a break and follow my team to a newly promoted club in serie A. Benevento. Flew in to Naples took the shuttle bus from airport to Naples Central Station (€4) Bought train ticket from tabac kiosk (€6) 24hrs later arrive in Benevento. I booked this bnb as it's location was good for the stadium. I took a taxi (€10) Bnb is on a quiet side street and run by Vincenzo. Very pleasant man indeed. (An architect) Room was good size, good bathroom, good shower and a balcony too.... After travelling being up 22 hours I had a fine nights sleep in a comfy bed. Breakfast is help yourself The usual continental spread Good coffee... Nice personal touch of sending you a message before arrival. Couldn't fault the place.

The owners are friendly and helpful, and recommended us a good restaurant. Only the details need to be improved, a better breakfast spread and cleaning the mold in the shower. Worth a stay, however, if you are going to Benevento.
