Nice hotel, poor service, average food
Reviewed By vhinovskaBack in 2020 we had amazing time here at Mirabell and decided to come back, however this will be the last time. The hotel spa is huge and really nice, some of the rooms are great, however some are super dark and inefficient ( if you like day light avoid Sonnen Chalet - it’s absolutely dark!) We booked spontaneously for 3 nights and from the beginning we said we wish to stay for 4, sadly there was no room available. Luckily on our way to Mirabell I received an offer via email to extend which I confirmed via phone immediately. Great! After arriving I wanted to check all the details rooms etc, however I’ve been told that the offer I received was not really an offer but “an option” as another client wanted to take 2 days to confirm if they will take the room? Even though I confirmed that we take the room confirmation was not possible because apparently they waited for someone with higher priority to confirm. Very nice way to treat your guests. The weather is quite nice so we decided to take breakfast outside - tables are prepared but there was no service outside for us - no one asks for coffee or even bring cutlery, however if another table decided to come then eventually someone passes to ask “all good with you?” Yeah all good, thanks for checking on us after an hour! Same applies for the pool - there is no way to order something at the pool, you have to go one floor up and pick up your drinks/food for down. Same as well for the terrace full of people around noon - no service available at all. If you want something you have to go inside and kindly ask if possible someone to give you whatever. Another ridiculous thing that happened - the turn down service. We travel with the dog quite often and we never had any issues with room cleaning or turn down service. On our first evening I put the sign for turn down service and left the room with the dog for like 2 hours. When I came back the room was still not ready, so I left the dog in the room. After 3 hours we came back and guess what - the room was still not cleaned. When I asked the reception why no one could tell. After some internal investigation the reception realized that they can’t clean the room if the dog is inside. Ok, I understand that, but why no one said that? All I’ve been told is that the dog costs extra 35 euro per night but no one thought of telling me that for 35 euros extra I will just receive less service! Disappointing. Ok, no turn down service but I needed new towels which reception promised immediately. 30 mins later I called and asked them to leave the towels because I already wanted to sleep. Real 5 stars… The day after I asked to speak with the management who basically told me that’s all normal, no service outside before 1st May even though the hotel is fully fully booked, he told me all my comments are basically invalid and was quite rude. Nice! So in the last minute the hotel got cancellation and suddenly there was available room for us, however we needed to move. Fine and quite normal. After all the hustle I asked if I will be without room on that day and reception promised it will be more or less without waiting time. So here is what happened - we were kindly asked to leave our room at 11h sharp, all the bags packed and prepared. I went out for a walk and thought I can already move into the new room but I’ve been told (at 12.15) that they still can’t find the other guests so the room is not free and they hope to soon start cleaning it. What the hell? Some clients shall be kicked out super precisely and some can take their time? So they kindly asked me to wait on the terrace, the same one without service now for one and half hour. Not even - “can we get you water?”. Never experienced such a poor service and never ever expected something from hotel that costs 700-800 euro the night, proudly showing they are the best hotel is Südtirol for 2021… Basically if you are young couple no one takes you seriously, even as returning client. Really disappointed this time. Food - breakfast is good, quite some variety. Dinner - looks fancy but tastes quite boring.

Reviewed By 915brigittapMy husband and I waited for this trip to the mountains for so long, i found this resort and thought this will be the best place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well we end up leaving this resort after 1,5 days… we booked half board so breakfast/light lunch/ dinner was included but it was dissapointing. Doesn’t worth the money, the resort itself overall amazing but the staff wasn’t helpful at all, they didn’t even ask why we would like to leave after 1,5 days. Location is amazing but nothing else… for 2800€ we expected better.

Reviewed By lviganego2To give this Hotel a 4 Star rating is a joke. I fear that the service and the overall "hospitality" is very poor and the attention to details is non - existent. Take for example the mini-bar in the room: empty and not working very well even after having repeatedly told the personnel of the problem. No air conditioning in the room: during the period we were there we reached peaks of temperature above 32 Deg. C. in the day: at night we had to leave the patio doors open due to the extreme high temperature in the room. Exceptional heat or not for 200Eu x night (B&B) I would have expected Air Con in the room. Quality to Price ratio absolutely very poor. Not impressed at all. The reception was deserted most of the time, so no possibility to ask for info/water/garage parking if late arrivals etc...No one. Very poor indeed.

Terrible booking system
Reviewed By Sandi1974I cannot review the hotel as they failed to book us in. Following their sent confirmation for the Family Room we booked our flights and accommodation on the way to South Tyrol. After few hours the reservation person has sent an email letting us know that the room we booked is not available anymorme... Kind enough they offered for the first 2 nights a room for 2 adults and a child while we were booking for 3 adults and one child. Called them and nicely we were recommended to look somewhere else to stay for our ski holiday. Lack of basic English knowledge at the reception... I suggest avoiding them considering the above most probably their ctargeted customers are German or Italian language speakers or travel agencies..

Reviewed By 920ludwiggperfect clean room, friendly service, wonderful food and wines. Perfect location, nice views and forests just outside the door... (ideal for the dogs). They give the warm hospitality of a small family pensione in combination with the luxury of the top hotel. We will be back !!! Due to the location on 1.200 meters the temperature stays fine even when it’s >30° in the valley (Merano)

Reviewed By Lucie2703We spent Christmas time at Salten. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had nice, very clean Alpensuite. The food was very varied, plenty of choice, tasty and delicious. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a new swimming pool and nice welness area. The ambience in the hotel is very cosy and friendly. We spent beautiful weeks and will come again.

Appartamento grandissimo!
Reviewed By Grullina16Ho soggiornato qui ad aprile 2017, è un appartamento molto spazioso con una camera da letto al piano primo con soggiorno angolo cottura bagno e terrazzo più una camera al piano superiore con bagno riservato. La posizione è sotto la montagna in fondo a una stradina un pò stretta...diciamo che la quiete e la pace la fanno da padrone!
