Nice scenery and lots of things to do in a short distance from the hotel or even at the hotel. Near Alghero with its beautiful Old City and Lots of nature on hiking distance. Nice beaches nearby and don't forget to see the caves op Neptune!

During our many years we have stayed in hundreds of hotels but have never met such outstanding staff as here. Efficient, very friendly and extremely helpful. Special mention must go to the waitresses Dina and Manuella and the receptionists Betty and Anna and also the man whose name I didn't catch. We highly recommend this place for anyone visiting northern Sardinia.

Reviewed By Gillian OWe booked a room with a balcony but on arrival we were told that due to a conference in the hotel we couldn’t have that type of room so they put us in a horrible dark room on the ground floor with no natural sunlight and a dark terrace, it was freezing cold day and night and the staff were very unsympathetic also the shower was so small that I kept hitting my elbows off the door and I am small so a bigger person would be unable to wash also the property is a good 30 minute walk with bad street lights from the main town so I would not recommend

Nice Hotel
Reviewed By Alan126The hotel is in a residential area of Alghero, a pleasant 15 minute walk to the Old Town. The Angedras is a fairly small hotel but spotless and immaculately decorated. Unfortunately there was some building work being done while we were there which rather spoiled our view of the courtyard (scaffolding) from our bedroom. The room was good, a reasonable size and well appointed. Reasonable bathroom too. Breakfast was fine and you can have it on the balcony but as we were in the middle of a heatwave (high 20s even at breakfast) and there wasn’t much shade on the balcony we never did. The breakfast room inside is nice to breakfast at though. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful so no issues there. A decent hotel, especially given it’s a 3 star one, very clean and stylish and recommended.

One important flaw in service

I had the pleasure of visiting the area on August 17th, after attending a dive trip in the associated dive school, which was wonderful. While waiting for the local bus I visited the restaurant. The view from the restaurant’s terrace is nice and the beach lovely. However, the service at the restaurant ended up being poor. My meal and coffee which I received from the waitress was decent. I was ready to leave, and the waitress was now finished with her shift and replaced by a waiter. Upon asking the waiter if there was a restroom available, I was promptly rejected in a condoning way since I wasn’t staying at the Hotel, and not allowed to leave the hotel via the main entrance. If the waiter would’ve explained why or delivered the message in a polite way, my reception would have been different. Finally, all restaurants and cafes in Italy are by law mandated to have a restroom available. So unfortunately, being a non-Italian speaker, it’s hard not to feel if there wasn’t discrimination from his part.

Reviewed By 332janegRecently stayed at the Hotel Florida in Alghero. I would definitely stay there again! While this is an older hotel, the rooms-hotel was very clean! The only downside was the air conditioning. It could have been cooler. It was very hot when we checked in but, it did cool off after about 5-6 hours. The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of options. All of the staff were extremely nice and very helpful! A special shout out to Pietro, who helped with dinner reservations and suggestions for two restaurants! Would definitely stay at Hotel Florida again.

Reviewed By 988josephlWe have recently returned from a stay at the Carlos V hotel in Alghero. Originally booked for 2020 but due to Covid it only happened this year. We had a long time to think about what to expect and our expectations were high. We were not disappointed! This is really an amazing hotel. From the location, to the facilities, to the staff we couldn’t find fault. Our superior room was stunning with spectacular views out over the pool and beyond across the sea. Small but significant touches like bottled water replenished each day and robes and slippers were very welcome. We didn’t have breakfast or half board included but we had lunch several times in the hotel restaurant and the food and wine served were top notch. The pool area is kept very well with towels provided and plenty of sun loungers for all. It isn’t the cheapest of hotels but it really is worth the price if you are looking for something a bit special in a hotel. We had a small issue at check in but it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Thank you Disma and all the staff on reception. You are a credit to the hotel. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would stay here again without hesitation.
