Very bad service in the restaurant
Reviewed By Northpole27The hotel is okay. But the service in the restaurant is terrible. the waiter did not come to my table for 30 minutes even after reminding. I had to go and order the food at the desk. But it appeared that they did not take the order from the first time. I had to go there again. After taking the order, they delivered a different food… what a terrible dinner time.

The hotel oversold no -smoking rooms and would only offer a smoking room
Reviewed By Jet373524While the staff were generally ok, the hotel is a bit run down for a Renaissance. No in room minibar, only instant coffee, no name mismatched amenities in the bathroom, and worst of all, they oversold non-smoking rooms so the only option was to take a smoking room. The stay is for three nights and I was promised that they would move me to a non-smoking room for night two and three. On day two I asked about changing rooms and “it is not possible”, but perhaps tomorrow. Unacceptable, especially for someone with asthma. I will never stay here again, and am strongly considering leaving early if I can find somewhere better to stay.

You can wander along the rocky shore and sandy beaches that line the Caspian Sea or head out of the city into the Mangystau region, where you can explore the breathtaking deserts and canyons. Reception readily assists with day trip planning. For business visitors, the hotel has 4 well-equipped meeting rooms and a grand ballroom that holds up to 500 guests.

Reviewed By 825Guest2013I stay in this hotel whenever I am in Aktau. Thanks for hotel staff for upgraded room for free. Nice Front Desk staff and Excellent Housekeeping. Kettle in the Room which is convenient to drink tea or coffee. Unfortunately, I didn’t try meal in this hotel. Quiet hotel.

Comfortable rooms with great sea view
Reviewed By emreesindI visited here twice, first for 1 night, 2nd for early check in not stay over night early check out stay. It is located a bit far from city center but served me better by being in walking distance of my target. Have great sea view rooms with balconies. Rooms are large, getting a lot of light in and very comfortable. Lobby bar is good, room service and lobby menu satifactory and tasty. Reception stuff needs to improve their English, in my 2nd visit in check-in they didn't understand my check-in and check-out times/dates and charged me full 2 days for my 12 hours early check-in visit. When I complained during check out they found out they calculated wrong, and now I have some bonus to use in my next stay. They tried to charge back my card but I was in a hurry for check out so they proposed the bonus solution. Good that they tried to solve the issue. It has a aquapark and maybe a fun place to visit in summer days, as well.

Reviewed By justineke3Silk way Hotel was a delight to stay at! The room was large, clean and the service impeccable. The restaurant had delicious food. Although the Hotel is not central, the short ten to fifteen minute walk to the centre was no hardship. The only advice I would give the hotel management, is to put all staff onto DUOLINGO to study English!

Reviewed By Gert RThis is my second stay at this hotel and it’s close to my place of business. Rooms are very big with a ok bed. Huge balcony. Breakfast is very basic but enjoyable if you are there for a couple of days. Nice minibar English is a problem is you have a problem but google helped out every time. Will go back.

Hotel good but receptionist with terrible attitude
Reviewed By dclayt0nOn checking in the receptionist Olesa explained about breakfast time the following morning and asked what i wanted and at which time i said i would have omelete , porridge and tea with milk at 08:30 however she said no 9am is better i explained i had a meeting just after nine so requested an earlier breakfast again she said no 9 was better so again i explained i could not due to business meeting so reluctantly she finally wrote down 08;30 which was the first sign of her attitute, the hotel itself was good and rest of staff friendly the meals were a variety if selections including indian so enjoyed the food, during the evening i wanted to drink some juice from the mini bar however when opening the i liter juice carton i realized it was frozen solid as was two other bottles of water due to refridgerator been set at too low a temp so i gave uo on the juice idea. when telling the receptionist again she informed me as the lid had been opened and replace i would need to pay for the juice, i explained three times it was frozen solid and although i wanted to drink i couldnt so felt it unfair to charge me for a temperature issue with the fridge but she was insistant rasing her hands and voice at me, as director of a company that have a contract with the hotel i then called my administrator to inform i had enough and was checking out, the receptionist began raising her voice again telling me not to speak in English and shouting russian only, once finished my call i explained i was shocked at the service given and would not stay at the hotel, Pity about her terrible service attitude otherwise a pleasent stay.
