Blue Lagoon Beach Resort

A new stylish resort located on one of the best beaches in the Yasawas. Right in the middle of the blue lagoon region, the resort is located on a white sandy beach with all tide swimming. Dive shop, snorkeling and many activities. Open planned restaurant and bar with espresso bar and live music nightly.

Barefoot Manta Island Resort

"Going Barefoot" is about the feeling of freedom and living in harmony with our environment. We don't refer to our island as a "resort". Our eco-lodges are about living simply and sustainably. Rather than a tourist destination run by technology, Barefoot is a concept fuelled by feeling. Our island is deliberately uncomplicated, unfussy and unpretentious. For both guests and staff, the sensational natural environment - land, sea and air - brings about a special frame of mind - carefree, receptive and aware. Barefoot Island, known traditionally as Drawaqa Island, lies in the Southern Yasawa Islands of Fiji. The breath-taking coral gardens, situated just off the coastline are amongst the finest in the world. We offer visitors a tranquil environment, with the gentle sound of the waves lapping the shore. Our eco-lodge is the perfect destination for nature lovers in search of a one of the few Fijian islands unspoiled by man. Guests can expect unparalleled manta ray safaris in one of the best locations for dive enthusiasts: spectacular snorkelling and excursions, beautiful coastal and forest trails, visits to nearby Fijian villages, kayaking...the list is endless. Step onto our island and lose yourself in the world of Blue Lagoon and Castaway. Allow yourself to settle into "Fiji Time," and you'll come to discover a virtual treasure trove of things to explore - both on land and in the surrounding waters.

Best staff in the Yasawa Islands

Reviewed By S9084XPjustinm

Michael, Illy, Rob and Mirko made the stay worth every penny. Events were fun, beaches were nice, beachfront bure was lovely. Food was decent. Cookie was a great host. My only complaint is the overwhelming and overcrowded manta ray viewing. Too many resorts sending too many boats at once, despite Robs amazing effort, the crowd from too many resorts scared these beautiful animals. Please limit these visits as blue lagoon cave limits theirs, less is more!

The best staff we have encountered, ever

Reviewed By benjaminsreviews

We stayed five nights at Mantaray Island Resort in May 2022. It was an ideal place to relax and forget the stressors of home. Having the reef right on the beach at the front of the resort meant you can just put your snorkel and flippers on and you're there. There were so many fishes and beautiful coral, and the snorkelling was easy for beginners. The channel where the Manta rays travel to feed is minutes away and that was a captivating experience (not scary at all, even for those a little nervous about being on the ocean). Above all the positives about Mantaray Island Resort is the staff. We have never encountered staff so committed, friendly, and warm. It is the kind of spirit that cannot be taught. Special thanks to Rosa, Mere, Dani, Tiki, Joe, Save, Knox, Wati, Sai, and Inoke for making our trip so unforgettable.

Rustic and laid back

Reviewed By PeterJT46

This is a rustic no frills resort. We picked as its advertising said it had a bar, restaurant, free WiFi, air-conditioning and a swimming pool. It has all these, but the bar only sold beer, the free WiFi was intermittent and patchy, especially when the generator is off each day between 10AM & 4 PM. Staff are fabulous, especially Julie, who runs the bar and kitchen. She prepares and serves fresh food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is reasonably priced as is paid for in cash. Air-conditioning is not available between 10:00 and 16:00 as the generator is off. This can make an afternoon nap uncomfortable. A great back packers retreat but at FJ$200 a night

What do you expect for this price?? Well actually a lot!! This no 5 star resort with a 5 star price tag, this is just a well maintained cheap resort that provides everything you need... seriously nothing is wanted. Rooms are clean and well maintained, you get a bed (a little hard for my liking) a fridge/tea/coffee/jug. Best of all an outdoor shower!! ceiling fan no aircon, but we are under trees so is cool enough Restaurant/Bar/Pool are very good. Clean and maintained. Staff are super friendly, Tumeli manager really makes you feel welcomed and food is amazing (Thanks to Max) Best of all is the view ... volumes could be written... this is truly the heart of this place!!! not a 5 star resort but has 5+ star beach and ocean views. Truly hidden gem ?

Been back 6 times now all the way from East Coast US.

Reviewed By TimmyTopes

My very first time at beachouse was back in 2013. I was a uni student in Suva on an exchange program from the US. One weekend I took a bus in from Suva (only 10$ from either Suva or Nadi) with a new friend who knew about this hidden gem. The rest is history. I’ve been back on 6 visits since then. Upgrades have been made over the years.. there’s a new bar, few more boats, even a/c being put in the remaining rooms just as I left. Nestled on a private little beach on the coral coast this place has it all. Not only the sunsets, crystal clear water, daily activities (fishing, surfing, waterfalls, and Yanuca island trip for example) but the employees are the most amazing people I’ve ever met. If your a surfer this is your best spot away from cloudbreak you’ll find in Fiji. Guided by local surfers you can go find style wave you want along the coral coast reefs. Pipes, Frigates, Jays, Coconuts, Serua Rights.. all only a 20 min boat ride away. I always found myself much more confident in bigger surf with guides Lesi, Semi or Paul out in the water with me. They grew up on the reefs here and know every little coral head and trick to getting the most waves out of your session. All in all beachouse is the spot. I choose to commute over 30 hours to get here any chance I get, and can’t wait to get back when the winter blues hit. Vinaka Beachouse for all the memories ? -Tim
