I was Celebrated my Birthday with Wolf and his crew at the ranch- two fun filled days of trail riding through acres of untouched woods, corn fields, and a running stream. The weather couldn't have been better and the company was awesome! Wolf really takes excellent care of his horses. They are so gentle and lovable, I felt like I was riding a big Dog lol My horse is named Ottawa, and what a good girl she is to ride! I really enjoyed the trail rides to see the leaves change smell the crisp air and admire the beautiful scenery/ I was totally relaxed and just LOVED my Birthday weekend I enquired and Leasing a horse is also available and I truly encourage anyone who loves riding to do this here at PHR . It is something I am definitely going to be signing up for real soon!

We spent the weekend at River Valley Ranch for a family camp. It was such a great experience. Social distance the whole time, which I appreciated as an immune compromised person, and masks too. (Not a political expression for me). I can't recommend it enough. . .nope it wasn't the outstanding life changing Christ centered week long kid sleep over camp like they specialize in but, it was a weekend chuckful of memories - zip lining, family Olympics, movie on the green, tree climbing, extended hikes, archery tag, tractor riding, train excursions, sanitized playgrounds, family devotions, mazes and more. There were other activities for older kids like paintball and horseback riding we didn't get to indulge in because our kiddos are younger but our schedule was full none the less with amazing adventures. We had time around the campfire nightly just as a family. The staff at RVR provided first class service even building the fires each night even providing yummy smores kits each family could savour. The lodging was stellar with the choice of BRAND NEW cabins (we were the first families to stay in them), teepees, or covered wagons. RVR had never done family camp before prior to this weekend but you honestly would have thought otherwise. We are glad to be an RVR family!!

Circle R Ranch

Reviewed By lidskidsliddia - Terra Alta, United States

I took my grandkids ages 10 and 11, here again. They loved it. The staff took their time and introduced them to the horses they were going to ride. They told the kids the horses names and a little about each one. After the kids were on the horses, they talked a bit with them and made them really comfortable. Our guide, Coley, was very good. She kept an eye on the kids as they rode and talked to them. I highly recommend this ranch to anyone wanting to ride horses and be treated very nice. We will be going there again. The horses seemed very well taken care of and were very easy to ride.

My sister and I went trail riding with Elk Mountain trails on an hour and a half trail ride. We had a great time. The views/trails were beautiful. Our guides were great. Very informative and helpful. They also offer helmets for trail riding if you want them. I would highly recommend them and definitely plan to ride with them again soon. We had two guides with four riders.
