Had a lovely ride through the mountains lead by the lovely Bo (fantastic guide, lovely to meet you!). The stables are beautiful and most importantly the horses are cared for superbly. Was surprised to find the stables also has a restaurant, I did not eat here but it looks beautiful! Views and scenery are amazing, staff are caring and attentive. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful day Bo, Sabine and Manolis!

The Riding Academy of Crete is the only establishment in Grecce that offers a variety of horse centered activities. We offer riding tours both for begginers & advanced riders, pony rides for our little clients, riding trails to the beautiful gorge of Karteros, beach rides, custom made rides for honey mooners etc. Also, we offer riding for the disabled. Our center is the only approved center to offer riding for clients with physical or mental diasabilities.In the property one can find Ippikos cafe, a well organized bistro with coffee, snacks, drinks etc, a shop full of horsey things as well as unique souvenirs,a farm where one can see goats, rabbits, ponies & feed them as well as play with them.The property is open to the public and one can visit any time for free. We are very close to the airport and the port.We offer transport service upon request.

My daughter loves horse riding so decided to visit riding academy of Crete - horses were well taken care off and stables were clean. Ride to the beach was approx 15 minutes to get there and return and about 20 minutes up and down on the beach with canter / gallops. Beach is quite stony but nice, as daughter was riding dad followed on foot to take pictures. After the ride my daughter had 45 minutes jumping lesson which she loved, instructor is very patient and gave some expert advice to improve her technique. Well worth the 100 euro Location is a little tricky to find but well worth the effort !

Incredible experience My 11 year old daughter and I went on a 1 hr ride with the Fourni team, it was amazing riding through the olive groves and then down through the streets of two beautiful old Cretan villages. The horses were super well trained, the team was very friendly and welcoming with great local knowledge. I would highly recommend riding with Fourni Horses. Iain
