My best friend and I were originally supposed to take another tour with another company, which fell through at the last minute. Talk about fortuitous!!! We could not have been happier with the tour and especially our driver Omar! Wow. Omar was so very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. And what a sense of humor! He geared the entire trip around what we wanted to do, and would stop anywhere we wanted to stop (“ooooh Omar- what’s that?” “Would you like to stop?”) My friend and I (we are both American) ended up taking the tour with a Russian couple and by the second day it felt as though all 5 of us had already been friends who decided to go on road trip together. The places we were scheduled to stop were beautiful, safe and friendly. The night at the Berber village was fantastic, where we took a desert camel ride at sunset and then another the next morning (don’t let “camel trek” scare you off. It’s not much time spent on the camel) at night there were drums and singing by firelight, with about 10 other travelers from different treks. And let me tell you I have never seen stars like the ones I saw in the Sahara. I didn’t want to even blink so as to soak up every moment. If you are in Fes and on your way to Marrakech, this is the way to do it. This company also does other routes so check in with them if that’s not your exact direction. Whichever way you go, take your time and soak up as much of the local culture as possible. If you’re a shy traveler, it’s a great way to meet other travelers and really learn about and get a feel for local flavor. Its very affordable and if you are lucky enough to get Omar as your driver, any questions you may have will be answered with aplomb. Can you tell I cannot say enough good things about Omar? He really made sh*t happen. One more tip: if you are planning on renting a car and driving in Morocco, I would advise against it as a foreigner, especially if you do not speak Arabic. I was planning on driving myself from Marrakech to Chefchaouen and cancelled the car reservation upon arrival to Marrakech after seeing how many police checkpoints there are throughout Morocco. Having a government sanctioned/licensed tour company like this one is your best and safest way to go, with far less hassle from the police. Have fun and I hope you enjoy Morocco as much as we did!

The 4-day desert tour is comfortable especially the night in Sahara Desert. The tent has bathroom and shower with hot water. You can ride the camel across the desert and go into the campsite. Omar was recommended to us by a friend, and what a lovely encounter! We did 3 day trips from Marrakesh: Ouzoud (my personal favorite because of the monkeys ???? ), Ourzazate and Ait ben haddou (for lovers of film making or Game of Thrones, we also visited the Atlas Studios -extremely pleasant experience) and Ourika Valley (for nature lovers that can enjoy light trekking to waterfalls). We also had the transfer from Marrakesh to Casablanca on January 3rd 2021. Important to mention that we traveled during covid crisis, however we felt safe all the time- disinfectant was always waiting for us in the car. Policemen stopped us several times for checks, but he was prepared with covid declaration ready and all other documents in order. We highly recommend Omar and his company for his level of professionalism and due care. He is also funny ????
