There was a Kid´s introduction to Thai Cooking. Kids were accompanied by their parents who stood aside but ready to assist. The Executive Chef explained to both Thai and Foreign kids what they were going to cook. The menu consisted of Pad That with Chicken and Sticky Rice with Mango. Neatly and well protected cooking spaces were in the middle of a vintage Thai environment with ancient wood carvings and statues, contributing to a cozy Thai atmosphere. The kids had a lot of fun and were very proud of their cooking. For the accompanying parents, there was a serving of Chicken with Cashew nuts and another choice of Massaman Curry with steamed rice. All done before our very eyes, repeatable at home. Kids paid THb 500. Money well spend as it was a lot of fun! Cooking classes and event lunches and dinners can also be planned there. I will definitely bring my tennis buddies and spouses for an original Thai cooking class and celebration afterwards to this great venue on Soi 19. easy to find . there is an Arch on Petschkasem which is the Soi 19 entrance. The Venue is on the right side, Fourth road on the left. It is a must !

Having done previous Thai cooking classes I decided to do a whole day course which cost 2600THB for both the morning and afternoon session. It turned out I was the only person on the course that day so there was rather a lot of food. The previous day there were nine students .However the tuition was excellent. The main difference between the morning and afternoon course was the morning course included a market visit and making coconut milk from fresh and the afternoon course included vegetable sculpture , which only involved turning a chilli into a flower. For first time Thai cookery students I would say the morning course would probably be of more interest although the standard of tuition was very good on both morning and afternoon courses, especially if you re having one to one teaching.Transport to and from the hotel at the beginning and end of the course is included in the price but not travel incurred between the morning and afternoon session. You get to choose what dishes you want to make from the list provided. All in all I d say it was good value for money and well taught.

Siam Milsim

Siam Milsim (Milsim standing for military simulation) had its grand opening April 2015. The large clubhouse made of bamboo contains an Airsoft Gun shooting range and a vintage army style bar. The inside of the club house is decorated with authentic military articles. The arsenal is made up of over100 guns, which visitors can use at a very affordable price. The shooting range is divided in two parts. The first part consists of regular targets, where the range officers will teach the visitors security measures and how to shoot the guns. The second part is set up with walls, cages and other obstacles. For the second part a timer is used and visitors must run and beat the clock while shooting all their targets Siam Milsim While the shooting range is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with family and friends, the primary activity of SIAM MILSIM is organizing intense war simulation games. For one full day visitors transform into soliders sporting full army uniforms. After being trained they get to experience the excitement of a real mission, filled with action and special effects. The first episode is called « ZOMBIE INFECTION Hua Hin ». The plot is simple. Rebels have created a virus and are preparing an army of zombies. The world needs you to join this special forces unit, kill the enemies and exterminate the zombies before the virus spreads. « ZOMBIE INFECTION Hua Hin » is A « Resident Evil Live ». A once lifetime experience where you are the hero. At SIAM MILSIM we don't run for our life !!! we fight for it !! The instructors will train you than guide you in the most thrilling and scariest adventure of your life. « Zombie Infection Hua Hin » is the only place where you can realize your biggest dream : Shooting zombies. I spent an outstanding afternoon here with my two sons, aged 11 and 13. The instructors were professional, engaging and a LOT of fun. We did the CQB 1 course on both the pistol and rifle and enjoyed it thoroughly. As a former weapons instructor in the military on the Canadian version of the M16-A2, I highly recommend it for a great afternoon out when you want some time away from the pool. I can only assume that the ATV tours and zombie hunts are every bit as good.

Visited Phraya Nakhon Cave, Laem Sala Beach, Khao Daeng Canal, Thung Sam Roi Yot Freshwater Marsh and Bueng Bua Boardwalk. At the canal, you can get a boat ride for 500 baht (6 persons pax). The marsh and boardwalk is located together, but take note the boardwalk is not completely repaired yet but it has been opened now as part of it has been restored. Nice place to visit as there are huts along which provide good shade and to rest. For reviews on Phraya Nakhon Cave and Laem Sala Beach, go to its individual attraction name at tripadvisor. More details can be found there.

We took a local taxi here. Entry is free. The boardwalk around the mangroves is wonderful. There are a lot of information points, but only a few in English. Half way round you can take a boat trip for a fixed price for the boat. The boat trip took us through the mangroves, we saw birds, lizards, egrets, and butterflies. From the swamps we entered he river and went through the fishing village, through the boats, then back through the mangroves to the jetty. A bit more walking on the boardwalk and back to our taxi. Well worth a visit. Allow about 2 hours.

A nice place to come once you have one/two hours and if you like art. Paintings start generally from 500 bat and can easyly reach 25.000/30.0000. You can negotiate of course. There is a limited number of antiques. We really connected with the artist Wetchayan Unhasuwan very nice and modest person. We bought a few of his nice paintings. Price/quality of his paintings is very good. Also restaurant was nice, facing a little pond. Food was od a good quality and arrived pretty quickly.
