Belgrade Lakes Golf Club

Reviewed By ScottA1984716

Can't say enough good things about my experience recently at Belgrade Lakes GC. My wife and I went to Maine for a weekend getaway and while in Portland, I took a solo trip up to Belgrade Lakes for a relaxing round of golf. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating - first class the entire way. I shipped my clubs in advance (shout out ShipSticks.com) and received a call from the staff a few days prior to my tee time to let me know when they had arrived. When I got to the course day of, they had my clubs ready and already loaded onto a cart. They also helped me find transportation back to Portland during the round so the car would be ready when I finished up (the course is in a somewhat remote area). After I left, they helped to ensure the clubs were shipped back (again, via ShipSticks), as well. All in all, the experience couldn't have been any better. I was able to play alone on a Saturday morning and didn't wait for a single shot. The course was in incredible shape and the views were downright stunning. I would strongly recommend this course for anyone traveling to Maine and looking for a nice golf element of their vacation. Kudos to the entire staff - thank you.

Samoset Resort Golf Course

This golf course located on the Penobscot Bay offers beautiful views of the water.

One of the nicest course I have played on. From driving up and being met at the car by a bag attendant making us feel welcomed, well stocked proshop that had everything you would need. A round of golf also includes range balls, one of the largest practice putting greens I have seen as well as a nice chipping area to warm up on. The attendants make you fee like your a member even though your a guest at the hotel. My one issue was actually with the Hotel website, It shows the Clubhouse grill as being open. This day and age you could easily update that within a minute or two. In terms of the course, the pace of play is perfect, just enough for you to take in the amazing views and quick enough to keep play moving. The conditions were great, greens were true, fairways amazing and the tee boxes we in great shape. I do wish they changed the hole locations every few days to keep you playing a different course every few days. It is worth a trip if your within a drive of the course, or if your staying at the resort it is a must play. Big shout out to the workers who were friendly and very welcoming

This course has been on my bucket list since we booked our trip to Martha’s Vineyard. It is a beautiful course that plays well and is very scenic with some great views. The greens ran fast and true and were in great shape. The personnel from check in to cleaning our clubs after we’re very friendly and helpful. Very nice driving range and the GPS in the carts helped us out as it was our first time here. My favorite round of the year. Thank you Farm Neck Golf Club.

Sugar Loaf offers great vertical, lots of terrain, and well maintained trails. It's truly got something for everyone. We especially enjoy the super long cruisers. The staff are exceptionally friendly. There are lots of ski in ski out lodging options as mountain real estate tends to be well thought out.

This is a beautiful golf course but extremely challenging. It is mountain golf at its best. Course management & accurate shots are required to score well. Expect to loose a lot of balls. Pro shop staff was welcoming & friendly. From tee to green the course is in great shape. The views are incredible, so much so as it can be a bit distracting! We loved it & hope to have the opportunity to return. Thank you
