Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

We are local in Park City and just want to give a shout-out to our favorite bike-and-ski shop. Todd and crew are very knowledgeable and accommodating -- an honest, family-run business that manages to all at once provide great service to visitors, support local kids and athletes, and lead our small-business community. It's tucked away in the Silver Star development but, once you find it, you'll have discovered not just a great bike/ski shop, but a backdoor entry point to PC's trails, too. :-) Thanks, Todd!

I’ve been going to Jake’s ever since I first skied 32 years ago. This is our earliest trip in the season to Park City, so you can imagine my disappointment when the spot we’ve been depending upon for decades didn’t open until Dec. Luckily SLOPESIDE is just three doors down. It felt a bit guilty not going to Jakes but that quickly passed. The crew inside made us feel like we were old friends and right at home. A few keystrokes on the check-in kiosk and they were bustling to get the whole family ready for the mountain with brand new rental boots and skis. We opted for the Performance package and the kids started with the Sport. We’re lodging Mountainside so there was a discount for us. After walking around in my new gear, my feet didn’t feel quite right. They were super helpful with a quick exchange to a more perfect boot for my foot. And this was the best fit I can remember. My feet felt great. There are free cubbies to store your snow boots while you ski. At the end of the day, they’ll store your skis for $2 and provide $1 lockers for you to secure your boots and gear for the next day. Everyone here was super helpful and being right at the Park City Mountain base is super convenient. Highly recommend.

Wide variety of subjects including classics or older published works (all new) Other well chosen gifts scattered throughout as well as antiques, small desks, chairs, etc. Very clean. Neat bathroom---especially the ceiling. Children's room with tree house. Lots of book posters. Frequent author signings. Just perfect. A place to browse and to find something wonderful to read.

Zion Rock & Gem

Stopped by here just to see the large gems out front. As we made our way around we found these beautiful sandstone sculptures that were a perfect keepsake from the trip. We spoke to the woman working there, she was so fun and you could tell she loved the items. Kimmie had such a great personality and she helped us pick out 4 sandstone coasters to take home as well. The others that we were here with also found nice items as well, something for everyone here. Tip, there is a post office just down the street. They have prepaid boxes where regardless of the weight you pay the same to ship it. Our sandstone items were heavy and we were afraid it would increase our bag charge when flying home. So we wrapped up our sandstone items in t-shirts that we purchased and shipped home. It was fun to arrive home and a few days later get our beautiful sandstone items.

Gearheads Outdoor Store

GearHeads is Moab's premier outdoor store. We have a huge selection of Gear, Clothing, and Footwear. GearHeads offers almost anything you could possibly need for your outdoor adventure. We have one of the largest selections of climbing gear in the entire USA. Wall to Wall gear including the ceiling so don't forget to look up! Come in and fill up all your containers with FREE FILTERED WATER! Open every day.

Gearheads is the best shop for all your outdoor needs, especially rock climbing. The staff is filled with superb people who are super friendly and extremely helpful. Not to mention they have the best collection of climbing and mountaineering gear in the area, hands down. Not to mention, they offer free filtered water and post it every where so you do not forget before going into the desert. Gearheads has a staff who TRULY CARES about the surrounding community as well as the influx of visitors. They have clearly been in visitors' shoes and their great service reflects that. Not to mention, their reputation holds up within the community. Everyone I have met in the creek (first timers to old timers) have said they only shop at Gearheads. After today my experience today, I completely understand why this is the case. My story goes like this: I went into Gearheads after having an AWFUL experience at PAGAN MOUNTAINEERING. The folks at Pagan really screwed me over selling me the old Indian Creek Guidebook, knowing full well that the new one came out THAT DAY. They had no signs posted anywhere in the store. They did not make a single mention to me at the counter as I continued to inquire in great detail about the Creek as a first timer, solo traveler from out of state. I went to climb later that day and was made aware by some local folks that Pagan did me wrong. These same folks told me about how AMAZING GEARHEADS is and how I should shop there instead. I went back to Pagan to attempt to right their wrong. PAGAN REFUSED to admit fault, pretended they didn't remember selling the book to me, and denied the refund and/or exchange with supplemental payment for the new book. After being tossed out of their store, I went to Gearheads. The amazing staff at Gearheads, specifically a nice guy named Jake, not only listened to my story in full, but truly helped out a new climber to the area. They did what the people at Pagan refused to do. They allowed me to pay the difference for the new book and sent me on my way. Not to mention, they have so much more equipment compared to the other stores, both soft and hard goods. They can accommodate all of your rock climbing needs. Their selection of cams, ropes, belay/ rappel devices, headlamps, draws, biners, clothes, shoes (rock and hiking), tape (multiple tape options both in size and brand), chalk, and so much more REIGNS SUPREME. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area and can help make your stay that much better. I am grateful for the fine folks over at Gearheads and I will solely give them my business every time I come to Moab. Thanks Gearheads!!!

Park City Jewelers - Silver Store

When visiting Park City, spending time in the Main Street shops is a must. Do not miss Park City Jewelers! This is not your typical jeweler. It is a beautiful shop run by a father son team. Their jewelry is beautiful, and I absolutely love the variety of raw and polished gems and stones. I love the energy in the store.
